Any AJT Design interior parts owner?

Continuing the quest for chrome/silver delete. Two emblem overlay have shown up. EBay special. To my surprised. Both fit perfectly and no chrome shown through. Link and photo below.

Awaiting the Rear Hatch Emblem overlay. Was supposed to be deliver today but now delayed. Monday perhaps.

The steering wheel overlay does have a nice curve to it. It fit nicely. I will clear coat all these overlay before semi-permanent install. I like the emblem to have that gloss look.

Still searching for the iForce 5.7L emblem overlay. The tundra will NOT fit. They 6.5” wide. The sequoia are about 5.75”. Will not work.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I followed your lead and went with the eBay cover. I just wish Toyota didn’t put the dark brown trim on some of these.

 

Yeah. Brown. Not feeling it either. Do a steering wheel swap to the black. That would update it.

 

Yeah priced it out and realized it didn’t bug me that much. Daylight looks black, LED lights at night and it’s poop brown. Love to change the steering wheel but new wheel, air bag, etc. maybe down the road.

 

A little update. Decided to go clear coat for the overlay.

 

I need to retint the outter taillights. Old vinyl film was peeling and lifting.

So the piece of paper just keeps the knob from going all the way down??
I am getting ready to install these on my Sequoia.
It would be nice to 3D print a ring to glue to the bottom of the knob to make up the difference in length.
I might try to fab up a ring or spacer of some sorts to glue to the bottom of the AJT knob to make it the same length as the original.

 

Yup. Only need a a tiny piece to create the tighter tolerance needed so the knob will stay put.

Installed my knobs tonight, they look great!!!

So this might blow your mind…….my stock knobs pulled right off with just a little finesse. I had read somewhere else that this was possible. I was dreading removing the panel and tried pulling them off first. I pulled off the stock knobs and clicked in the 3 AJT knobs in about 5 minutes total!
For the Auto/Off knob, I used 4 pieces of cut electrical tape spaced between the cut outs of the knob and stuck them to the inside of the knob, level with the bottom. It pressed on with the perfect tightness and works great!!!

I’ve seen black versions on other trucks but I’m not sure if you can order them separately or if they come with the whole panel. I think the black ones came on the SR5's.








Hey, what leather steering wheel cover is that…..I ordered the Loncky one off Amazon, just waiting for it to get here. Did you do yours with the steering wheel on or off? Any tips for installing it??

 

It is the Loncky one. I did the stitching also. Very simple. Just time consuming. the Square climate control, unless u can find a wrecker with it on. It doesnt sell individually. I’ve looked because i wanted it also. I think it also came on the 4runner and of course the sequoia trd model also.

 

Cool, yeah, I saw some videos. Looks like you just need to take your time and get it set right before you start. Yours came out nice!
I found some panels on Carparts.com, cheapest I could find is around $80-$100. I don't think it's a very paintable piece.......... probably wouldn't look right and wear off eventually.

 

I would not want to paint it. But 80-100$ for just that piece is really steep.
