    Hello,

I'm hoping to get some recommendations on a good dual exhaust system for my Tundra. I'm looking for something that will give me that deep sound and louder than my stock ones but not overly crazy where my neighbors will call the cops on me. At the moment I have a 16 CM 4.6L TRD package 4x4. I would appreciate any suggestions . I've done a little research and it seems like most people would recommend Magnaflow or Flowmaster super 40.

I've got Flowmaster dual with the 70 series muffler. Fairly aggressive on acceleration no drone at hwy speeds. That's on a 5.7 tho. There was an outlaw or 50 series on it when I bought it. Way too loud. Terrible drone. Had to go. You can listen to exhaust videos all day but you won't really know the sounds until its in person.FamilyofMufflersFinal2.jpg

I have a Borla system... nice low rumble and no freeway drone... had a Magnaflow system on a 2005 Ford F-150... a little more aggressive sound, but the drone at freeway speeds was AWFUL!!! Could hardly have a conversation... also check out Keith at dirty deeds... have a friend who had one of his systems when he was a Tundra owner... nice sound, no drone...

Is the TRD exhaust available for the 4.6?

I thought the TRD exhaust is available for both 4.6 and 5.7. Restriction is on the length of the truck. If you have a regular cab and short bed, for instance, you are out of luck (unless .you could do the fabrication to make it fit)

Well I sure agree that if it is available for the truck it's a solid way to get excellent sound and power!

I can make a trd system fit any year. Any cab. And bed. With an oem quality finish.

That said, why not also use an x pipe for better low end torque? And why not use helmholtz resonators to kill drone?

That's how we build our trd rep systems;) And they still use trd tailpipes right from Toyota.

Spend a year looking at exhausts. Wanted a good, but not over agressive, sound. Good look and some gains. I settled on the Flow Master 50. Nice throttle sound with little cab interference. Some HP gains. Had a well reviewed and very helpful muffler shop do the duel pipe install. Very happy with it. Looked a dirty and the BA system. Felt it was too expensive and too aggressive for my preferences. My out the door with install and duel black pipe tips was less than I could have ordered and installed it myself.
