Who would everyone reccomend in the slc area to ins 5100s and do a proper alignment?

Have the shocks / coils, just no time to install.

Funny I had the opposite experience. Worked with kyle rassumen? For my tacoma and tundra, both were great experiences. Mark Millers service dept is a joke from the palaver I went through on my tacomas diff.

Les Schwab is where I take my truck for alignment. It's the one on Redwood Road in SoJo (approx 10600 S.). Not sure if they install too; call and ask them.

Watch out buying from lifted truck guys on 5600. They have a first gen tundra for sale that's pretty clean and posted on ksl showing pictures of the frame and it shows some rust pitting. Says they're selling as is as " it's a little more rust than we're used to seeing" or something like that. I went and checked it out, long story why lol, and there are straight up 2 finger holes in the frame and when I pulled my fingers out a quarter size rust flake fell out. I probably could've fit three fingers in it.. It was sizeable. The pictures do not show any rust to this degree. i feel like they are being misleadinghoping that since they post up that's there's rust and have pictures some dup will think they're being honest and upfront and not check it out further. Wanted to post for awareness. Also the angle they took the picture where the spar tire is , is actually hiding the giant hole in the frame. There may be other holes too but I saw that one and was like NOPE. They're asking a pretty premium price too imo as if it's super clean....

That's too bad. Someone is going to lose alot of money on that truck.

Edit: what can we do about it? Maybe a complaint to the BBB? Gephardt?

Hello from WA. I'm starting to plan my summer camping season and we are thinking of coming down to UT for our extended trip. Drove thru there 3-4 years ago and have always wanted to come back and hang out. I've been reviewing the Googles and was hoping you all could give me some pointers. From what I can tell, I need 2-3 months to really explore everything, so right now I'm thinking of carving out just a section of UT, up in the NE corner by WY and ID.

Would love to get your feedback on places to camp (small trailer) and explore. Ideally I'd like to put the trailer some place central (state or private park) and do day trips from there (light off-roading, hiking, sight-seeing, foodie, etc). Move every 3-4 days and repeat from the new location. That kind of thing. Thinking about the area around Logan and East towards Bear Lake.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

Bear lake area is amazing. There's a Koa there if that's the kind of camping you're referring to. The north east corner of Utah south of Wyoming is the uintas but there's not in the much of true truck size offroading up there other than maybe Forrest roads. There are tons of hidden mountain lakes and places to fish and hike. Also there's tons of places for atvs and side by sides. I havent been up there a whole lot though. If you will be in idaho shoshone falls is worth the trip. Most the parks utah is known for are down south . The closest state park to the area you're talking about would be Willard Bay state park. Box elder has a campground up there too just south of Logan but there wouldn't be hookups I don't believe. Others may be able to help more.

Bear Lake is absolutely amazing in the summer! It is some of the clearest and warmest water in the summer. On the far north east shore you can pay to drive out onto the beach and it's very gradual and shallow; if the water is lower people often drive onto the beach on the south west shore right off the highway too since there's some sand bars there. The whole west side is shallow too, though mostly private until you get further south. The western side is mostly open land, but is extremely deep (it's so clear that it's actually spooky how far down you can see). Absolutely amazing place, and some good food in Garden City. There's camping and lots of national forest/BLM land around there to camp on. Lots of little dirt roads you can explore too. Unless you're coming in from Logan (Logan Canyon is pretty and a nice drive), Logan itself doesn't really have anything special about it. Just a mid size city at the base of the mountains. You can take dirt roads from Logan up to Bear Lake, or even up to Mount Logan (just a dirt road) and it looks out over the whole valley. Nothing hard but a cool view. I spent my whole college career exploring every mile of dirt within 20 miles of Logan :D

I would focus on bear lake and nothing else. Depending on what months you'll be there, due to bear lakes elevation it will always be much cooler than Logan or the lower areas. In August Logan can get to 100F, where as Bear Lake will still be tolerable at night.

And then the sawtooths and tetons are an easy days drive to the north if you want to loop up through Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. I actually did two similar but reverse loops of what you're talking about this year and we drove all the way out to Forks. Lots of cool stuff along the way! Excuse my novel :D

This is perfect! Thanks for the info. Your loop is exactly what I was starting to formulate in my head. Think I’ll plan a route thru central ID down to Bear Lake and then exit North to MT before returning West.

This trip will be in the Aug timeframe so good point about Logan. We can set up base in the mountains and day trip to Logan if needed. Guess I’d better find parks with power so we can run the A/C in the trailer.

Anyone know of some not-so-known BLM land good for taking a camper? I've heard the Uintas, but I don't want to fight crowds.

If any of you locals are interested in an RCI gas skid lmk. I’m not gonna be using the one I purchased, still BNIB, shoot me a DM. I would post it on the classifieds but I don’t have the minimum post limit and I don’t intend on shipping it.

I don't know about holes in wall joints. It's park city. There are a decent amount of good restaurants up there. If you like sushi there is a place called Yuki Yuma that I like.
