Hi y’all! I’m Lainey and I love my Gen 1 Tundra!

    06 Tundra 4.7L V8 Double Cab SR5 2wd

I have been reading all of the posts regarding an issue I’m having with my LED upgrades.

    1. Fog lights won’t turn on.
    2. Twist Fog light control turns on high beams.
    3. Hyper flicker turn signals. (Error)

I know I need a HB4 9006 Canbus anti-flicker, decoder, relay, resistor etc etc because of the low electrical draw causing the error.

Some of the relays generate a lot more heat than others right?

How many do I need? Mixed information. One for each?

Saw a YouTube video and the guy installed one on the passenger side head light and the other the passenger side fog light.

Whatcha got guys? Help a lady out! I love my Gen 1 Tundra!

Nice truck! Even if it's got one too many non-suicide doors

A lot of the info you'll need for your truck can be found in this sticky thread, specifically. It's broken out in sections and is a knowledge dump we owe to members past and present, here and banstick'd.

On the resistor, yes, this is a common issues as is seen in that sticky. And the general consensus is, 1 resistor, and most people who've done it are dropping it on the passenger side of the lighting circuit.

One issue solved. Fog lights now work correctly. Rotate the fog light switch on the turn signal indicator and it’s perfect.

Second issue still remains. Hyper flashing turn signals.

Can this be resolved by incorporating, two signal bulbs that have resistors built in? One on the passenger side and the other on the drivers side?

or?! Do all 4 bulbs need resistors? (Either built in or the other way, which I am trying to avoid)

Has anybody tried using the new led bulbs with the built in resistors?

Directions on how I solved the Fog light issue. These come in a 2 pack.
*I plugged one into the drivers side head light & the other into the passenger side headlight:
