Anyone else have black foam exposed in the very front of their dashboard?

I had my Sequoia for a year now and I just noticed something odd while detailing my interior. I noticed in the very front that there is this black foam that is exposed. It starts from the driver side all the way to the passengers. I am not sure if my dash was tampered with by the previous owner because I noticed some slight dents on the passenger side of the dash board. Figured the previous owner had their passenger rest their filthy feet on the dash, but who knows. Thanks in advance.

I was a bit vague with the pictures I posted above. Hoping edited ones will help pinpoint the foam I am referring to.

Yes, with no glass work done. The truck also has no squeaks or rattles, so I'll live with it. It took me 2 -3 years to notice it, and it doesn't live a rough life in the sun or parked in extreme cold.

Thought I was the only one. I noticed I have a few rattled, but I can't point out where it is coming from. I really thought my dash was tampered with lol.

Yes. The pictures I posted are the front dash, si it is pretty much the bottom of the windshield.

Yeah, I have that. I thought it was due to my sunscreen wedging itself down there and pulling it up. I usually push mine back down and it stays for a while

It's normal. My truck is like that too. Most people probably have it and just haven't noticed it.

I actually put more down there. Had a bit of a noise when it got cold and annoyed me for years. Finally this year grabbed some 3/8" backer rod and shoved it down there. No more noise when it is cold.

Yup my tundra had exact same thing....had to be careful with my sun shade or it would pull it out and drive me crazy...I figured it was to keep papers or parking receipts from sliding down

Happened to me too. It took me a minute to realize that my damn sunshade was doing it. It was going down between the dash and the window and pulling the foam up when I removed it.
