I've been wanting to upgrade my headlights to a modern looking LED style. I don't want to spend $1,200 -$1,500 on a new set. I see a lot of sets from $400-$700. Are any of these good options or is the only good option to pay now and cry once?

OEM with an @iHacker harness is the way to go. Buy once, cry once.

    OEM LED’s are $600
Ihacker harness $100-$130 depending on which option you want.

idk where you’ve been looking to see those prices. Tacoma OEM LED’s run that much but not tundra.
Only other option worthy of choosing is morimoto. And think those only run $1k +\-

Looked through my records. I normally by LED's from superbrite, but I ordered the Tundra bulbs from Amazon, went with these. 3 years and so far so good. No issues with heat, current draw, etc. Was a completely simple and easy drop in. Also did the Fogs with LED, but not the front running lights or tail lights.

Oh damn. I guess I figured they’d be the same as the Tacoma ones at least gen 1 I’ve seen on holiday sales go for $1k

I actually ordered a set in 2019 but cancelled when I decided to go OEM

I'm not looking for just bulbs, I want to change the headlight itself.

Out of all the options out there isn't there any others that compare or come close to Morimotos?

OEM LEDs with a harness is the way to go, in my opinion. Finally made this change a couple months ago and it is a significant upgrade over stock halogens.

Does anyone have AlphaRex headlights? I think for the Tundra they are running around $970.

Have at it! I thought about it but thought my $$ was better used elsewhere. There are some decent looking aftermarket units.

I bought these https://www.protuninglab.com/20totutrdpro.html a while ago when they first started to sell them. Have not had any issues and really like them for the price point. Mine do not have the sequential turn signals though. You can look up my post about them.

Has anyone tried the LED mini-projector bulb retrofits. I wonder if the light pattern is acceptable for street.
