Very true - but I’ve had more bad than good. When the masa has the texture of beach sand - someone fucked up.

I haven’t had them in years
Used to be a roach coach that showed up at one of our job sites that made them - they were incredible.

Assuming you aren’t all heathens and eat red tamales with meat - do you go green olive, jalapeño, or no surprise in the middle?

Anytime you order food that needs to have a 'theme' or 'sales pitch' to draw you in, you know it's gonna suck... Good homemade tamales are worth seeking out!

Ok... So, this question is directed at our electrical guru @RainMan_PNW but anyone with experience or insight please feel free to respond also!

Almost all of my parts have finally arrived for my front camera, FRAC harness, Rago dash mount, etc. install. I was trying to only disassemble the dash once and get everything done in one shot. I have this fear of breaking shit when I disassemble things (but trust me, the fear is justified)...

Anyhow, it is my understanding that the only plug that CarPlay will work through is the single plug to the left of the USBs at the lower left of the dash "tree" under HVAC controls. First off, is this correct?? (see pics for reference)

    CarPlay2.HEIC.jpg

So, the dash mount has a USB hub, and I was hoping to bring my phone up there and not have to run my cable back down the entire length of the dash and keep a clean look and eliminate cable cluster. Is there a way to tap, splice or move this connection w/o risking injury to the one CarPlay connection??

Any thoughts, experience or suggestions on accomplishing this would be highly appreciated. :hattip:

Yes, that’s the only USB port that ties into the stereo for CarPlay.

I didn’t want to splice any wiring, but also hated the cord dangling and rattling on the dash. I chose to drill some holes instead. 75B8BD99-11A3-46C0-AE43-F23FAA7A2976.jpgA8E24213-1653-4DC4-9E9B-BF3FFF512D10.jpg
I moved the cord around a bit and then put it thru the R stamp. Works great.
    1E002C36-F06E-4D77-827A-1AEC28C911C7.jpg
Now I’m just waiting for the cord to fail or Apple to change the port (Thanks EU!)

We’ve had to go thru training at work about how to “talk” basically, and they told us we shouldn’t terms like “knock it out” “shoot me an email” to not be offensive or make certain people feel uncomfortable

Eff that. You don't have a right to not be offended. I DO have a right to say things others may not like. Don't like it? Move to a country with language laws like the UK.

Their dual port charger likely doesn't have the guts of a data port - you may need to purchase an entirely different port:
Amazon.com: Small USB 3.0 Male to Female AUX Flush Panel Mount Extension Cable for Car Truck Boat Motorcycle Dashboard 3ft : Electronics
    or the dual option:
Amazon.com: BATIGE 2 Ports Dual USB 3.0 Male to USB 3.0 Female AUX Flush Mount Car Mount Extension Cable for Car Truck Boat Motorcycle Dashboard Panel -3ft : Electronics
scroll down on that page for other options.

You can pull the existing port back into the dash and plug those options in. It'll leave a hole or two in your dash where the old ports lived, but the little covers should hide them. Not sure if it fits the hole in the Rago, but I'm sure measurements can be got.

If you don't want go that way, @Green Thunder's option will work, or just keep the Rago and truck ports where they're at and get an Android Auto wireless adapter: Amazon.com: Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto Car Adapter - Instant Connection from Smartphone to Car Screen with Easy Setup - Direct Plug-in USB Adapter - Secure Gel Pad Included : Electronics
I have this one, and it's okay: AAWireless | Wireless Android Auto™ for everyone

I considered this as an option... I keep my phones a bit longer than most, but my main concern is needing to change that cord out every year or so and tearing the dash apart again

Thank you for the response and pics

I'm surprised work doesn't forbid us from referring to big icicles (in writing, no less) as "widow-makers".
