    Hello,

I just acquired a new 2022 Tundra. Is there a specific procedure for removing the overhead console. In looking behind / next to the sunglass holder I see 2 clips on the side and 4 behind the case (not sure if these are just for connecting the bezel). Or is it merely pulling it down with force.

I'm looking to tap into 12v wiring in the overhead console for hotwiring my valentine one.

    Thanks

Previous gen has torx screws and clips. Might want to check for those. It 'could' be a just pull like the Tacoma but haven't anything seen anyone doing it for a 3rd gen Tundra.

Looks up some videos on YT for previous year trucks, might give you an idea of things to look for.

@Taco-Spike , Thanks. I looked, no torx or any other screws unfortunately. Had a Ram 1500 before and that was with 2 screws and 2 pinch clips and then pull down.

Some additional pics of the overhead console, no screws in the sunglass area and clips to be seen behind the sunglass holder

If it were me, I'd give it a yank to see if it comes down. Again, just me.

How to remove the overhead console on a 2022 Toyota Tundra:

use both hands evenly spaced, grab the back edge (edge closest to the windshield / mirror) of the overhead console, pull down firmly (its very tight) the console will snap lose on the back side, the front has 2 lips holding it in the headliner.
