I have an 06 DC. I just got it lifted along with new wheels. But the TPMS warning light on the dash blinks.

How do I disable it? Is there a fuse to pull? A wire I can cut? Or do I have to remove the whole dash and pull the small light bulb?

    TIA

Did you check the pressure on the spare? I had that issue. If it's not that you have a bad sensor.

Just put small piece of black electrical over the blinking light. That's what I did on my 06 DC. You can't even tell the tape is there. If you ever want to replace the sensors you haven't cut wires or removed parts.

Mine started flashing recently. I need to sniff my sensors to see if one's not transmitting, then replace and program it in.

I'll add that I did the "cut the pink wire and ground it" mod (I think I have that right) and it was waaaayyy more of a PITA than I thought it would be. It's in a very awkward spot with very little room to work. In hindsight the electrical tape might have been a better solution, but my OCD wouldn't allow for it!

Fixing the problem the right way isn't as difficult as everyone makes it out to be. But I digress.

Tell you what, I'll document the process when I finally do mine.

    What buying new sensors? Hahaha
I know mine is on because my spare doesn’t have a monitor, I’ve learned to live with it, I visually inspect everyday, and I’ve got bigger fish to fry

Mine's flashing though. It's been rotating between flashing constantly (TPMS comm fail) and flashing at startup/staying solid. I've tried multiple resets per the manual, no dice. It's gone away and come back a few times, so I'm sure it's just one of the sensors finally has a battery going out.

I meant to dig a little more on TPMS sensors. IIRC, they broadcast out on 433Mhz. In theory, shouldn't be too hard to figure out which one isn't broadcasting, I think? I'll hafta see if the new OBDII tool is able to read the 4 or 5 TPMS sensor IDs currently installed. I'm curious if it'll allow rewriting new IDs in too.

I'm just on the fence; I need new tires anyway, and I need to get my lift installed, but I'm hinging on extended links, so I'm getting off my ass and ordering today or tomorrow so I can get all this crap done.

Sure, replacing the sensors is the preferred solution and it’s not hard at all, but it’s also a LOT more $$$.

I had the same issue. Spare tire was the culprit.

Everyone on this board secretly hopes shifty has the same problems their trucks have. ;)
