Magnuson's is a limited powertrain warranty. From what I recall Harrop's is the same just a shorter term.

LOL I didn't ask you for any information so no need to get frustrated.

You took it upon yourself to address my concerns.

I posting my comments in thread in which the manufacturer is participating in.

If they don't want to answer or address any comments publicly so be it.

Anything, and I do mean ANYTHING, you do to your truck that isn't OEM or installed by the dealer can and will void any manufacturer warranty you might have. It is highly out of the norm for any aftermarket company to offer a warranty on your stock motor when you install their product.

I had Toyota install the TRD blower on my Tacoma and that maintained my original power train warranty. 20k in my driveline had bad vibes due to my carrier bearing going out. Toyota ate the cost of $1300 for parts and whatever the labor was. The shop manager was like, "well, you do have a SC installed, and it's a manual.... So that probably didn't help the driveline."

^^^ yup and that is all to be expected. Nothing has been sold,, but I am sure when that time comes warranties on parts and labor if one was to have this crew do it if they will even do that will all be addressed. In this day and age when everyone is out to make the all mighty dollar and to heck with the rest I am sure there are still some down to earth people that back what they sell.

I don’t have to worry about any of that!:)

"According to the Act, an automobile manufacturer cannot void your vehicle warranty due to the installation of aftermarket parts. Unless the aftermarket part that caused the vehicle failure or contributed to it (15 U.S.C. 2302 (C)). This implies that the warranty cannot be “voided” if the dealer has no claim."

I mean, sure they will try and deny it, but legally if that part isn't the cause of the failure they have to warranty it.

Obviously the dealer has to prove the part caused or contributed to the failure. This was implied in my post, apologies for not including it. Adding a turbo or SC definitely increases this variable...

That sums it up nicely!! Especially when the boost is installed by a third party.

All I can say is the Stage 1 is ready and dialed in. Weather and the MAF stuff has slowed the process. Scheduling the Dyno tomorrow for an opening soon and making a phone call to get things rolling for STAGE2!!

I was told it FLYyyyyyyyyyyys!!!!:) (just like that!! or dang close). Wish I was there to feel the difference. Excited to have them get the Stage2 up and running!!!:) Things are coming together. So,,,,, hopefully we can all see a Dyno run within a few days!!

Disregard post 254!:) now it’s really good to go!!

It's hard to do that as the end user! I'm going through the same truck withdraws, waiting on parts to show up that were ordered some time back. Truck just sitting in the garage torn apart for a month

Yes, Ken is correct, we got everything 110% with the stage 1, solid tune, air fuel, no knock, hitting the boost target, not maxing out injector pulse width, etc. It was more than ready for the DYNO. The message I sent Ken was Sunday after getting it all nailed and putting it through numerous boosted runs to confirm it was ready. Called the DYNO guys on Monday to book it. Their main power board is at Mustang (the DYNO maker) for inspection, they are being told they have to re-run some new wires in the building to the DYNO as they think there may be a ground issue. Literally we can't make this sh*t up... Been using that exact DYNO for 15 years! ARRRRG :frusty:. Anyway, they tune 5-10 cars a week and have a huge back log because of it, so it's top priority, but we were disappointed, like Ken that we weren't going to be able to get right to the DYNO. Due to this delay, and with no solid ET on when the DYNO would be back up and running, we have decided to continue with the Stage 2 build while we wait. The nice thing and one of the great selling points of the kit, you can switch from Stage 1 to Stage 2 (and back) with a simple spin of the compressor housing. No differences in the hot side piping, turbo / wastegate exhaust mounting. So we can easily use this time to build the stage 2 piping and intercooler and then just spin the compressor back around, reinstall the stage 1 straight shot coupler and run it on the DYNO just like it would be now. The results will not be skewed at all, they will just take some additional time to get... Frustrating for sure and Ken is the real MVP of this project with his patience and consistent positive outlook!!

Alright I will only say this because I do not want to jinx anything. I hope Jesse doesn’t get on here and spoil anything!!:) also.

The big reveal will be Wednesday or so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I HOPE????

I am hoping that there has been work being done on the truck. I have not asked questions because I do not want to spoil anything. Thursday and Friday and maybe even today they have been doing the piping for the stage two, along with they were going to mount the intercooler and everything that requires. They are doing this because they are waiting to get to the Dyno.

There are some things brewing provided the stars align with the moon there will be a good update Wednesday if not sooner. I can say progress is being made and that is about it for now. Fingers crossed for good luck!!!:)

The word was they finished with fitment of the piping and the mounting of the intercooler. They took it all apart as the pipe needs to be welded and a bracket on the bottom of the intercooler needs to be made. It looks good in the picture, another reason for taking it apart is they are getting ready for the Dyno run on the Stage 1 setup. I’ll post a couple pictures tomorrow along with a piece of news I hope as I do not was to jinx the progress!:) They really made some good strides these last four days over this past weekend.

I hope I have some more news tomorrow as well? I HOPE!!:)

Do you know why the IC piping is larger over the engine cover area?
