To date, Zero Manufactures have hinted at aftermarket headlights. Not even Morimoto. Anyone have any inside information on potential offerings?

I got on the waitlist for the alphaRex headlight back in November. I’m #83. But debating on waiting for more options. Hoping morimoto make something. Love the design on the alpharex tho.

I have gen 1 Morimoto XBs on my Taco now! Great lights but the high beams are weak.

Alpharex and Anzo are known for being trash on the Tacoma side, what makes them different here?

The main things these light mfgs are selling is how their lights look, not how they help the driver look... down the road that is. I would never drop the kind of coin these guys are asking in the name of style without definitive and objective light output and pattern comparisons to stock. No matter how sick or "tight" some salesman says they are. But that's me.

Edit: And remember, internet "influencers" is just modern-day lingo for good old-fashioned salesmen. They use the same tricks, like shaming you by telling you how sad and terrible your "basic" and "plain" OEM lights look... just look over here at these shiny new things we have to offer. LOL.

I have the anzo headlights on mine and they're awesome! Every bit as good as the headlights on my Limited and still retain the manual leveling from inside the cab. Last I spoke to alpharex a couple weeks ago they said they had some delays and were still looking at 3 months before release. Something in their headlights wasn't functioning properly I believe.

Can you take some output shots? I still have yet to see any cutoff pictures against a wall for both Alpharex and Anzo. Historically, these have just been for cosmetics and actually don't perform in light output and width. I don't know, maybe they are better now?

Not denying those lights are pretty!

Still have issues with the brands though. Their Tacoma lights look great but have moisture leaks, poor output and cutoffs.

Let us know how they turn out for you!

I can totally get some output shots for ya this weekend. The cutoff on the anzo lights is far better than the stock lights, however, I still need to adjust them properly.
Yeah, honestly I wasn't expecting much after seeing their previous headlights on some builds but these are surprisingly good. Like I stated before, I still need to aim them up a bit. My only gripe with these, and just about every aftermarket headlight, is the spread of the light. These don't shine out to the side of the vehicle as well as OEM. From my experience, Morimoto has been the only company that has done this properly.

Those are nice looking lights and give it the Raptor look, but I too am curious about the output and cutoff as function is most important (to me) especially when spending that kind of money

You are welcome, I believe option for this truck is very limited since it's nothing like any of the regular headlight.

@Nelson Alpharexusa can you please provide cutoff pictures with some technical output details? Great looking headlights. Just need to know the specs before I buy.

Hey man can I get an update on the novas? Saw your profile pic now has the new novas and the rig looks awesome. Got a set of the novas in alpha black sitting in the cart. Love the look, and the super clean cutoff and the how they turn slightly blue at the edge. But want to make sure output is better than OEM. I’m also stuck between amber and white DRLs. Also if you could let me know if the amber matches the raptor lights and if you have had any quality issues. Thanks!

Here’s a photo of the rig it will go on.

I love the headlights but I think you won’t see much improvement in light output since you have the top trim headlights from the factory. Talking with the guys at alpharex, you may notice a better cutoff but the brightness is going to be about the same. From a looks standpoint, hands down these are better and I think you’ll be able to rock amber or white, whatever you prefer. Quality has been top notch, I’ve had 0 issues with them. They function perfectly every single time I get in the truck.

thanks so much, already ordered after seeing the photos on this thread. I guess as long as it’s similar, I’m happy. Did the diode dynamics ss6 fog upgrades so light spread is already pretty dang good. Almost too good.

I went amber DRLs in alpha black!

Good choice! Sorry, totally forgot about that part of your question. I'd say it's pretty dang close to a match. Most offroad lights are going to look far more yellow than these though. The alpharex are a pretty true amber color.
