Oh, like a squat? 1000 extra lbs on the soft Deaver pack w drop shackles. I’ll get a shot unloaded sometime.

Bed bolts may not be torqued either. I ordered a 55

I guess a squat would be the best way to describe it. I've been struggling with words for a hot minute lol.

I never could find a torque spec for that in the FSM, but I didn't look too hard either.

Anyways, I think I used a 2nd gen bed bolt torque of like 60ft.lbs on the V6 when I put the bed back on it.

I've been looking for the same truck for the past 10 years and it is the unicorn of unicorns (if anyone has a rust-free lead, please pm me!)

From the research I've done, you could get a 4wd V6 in the Access Cab from 2000-2004, but the Regular Cab V6 4WD in 2000 and maybe 2001 (SR5 only). I don't think the 4.0 V6 was offered in 4wd... I'm also 99% sure I saw a guy on tundra solutions back in the day with a green V6 RCLB with a pop-up camper driving in the California dunes, but I can't seem to find it now.

If you look up the V6's transfer case's part number ( 36111-35060 ) on toyota's website it lists the following Tundra fitments:
If you look up the front differential housing ( 41101-35131 ) you get Tundra fitments of:

But I'm not sure how much to trust that parts listing since it also shows 2000-2001 "2WD" SR5 regular cab V6's as having transfer cases & front differentials...

Why is the v6 more desirable? Just curious.

Manual transmission. And I mean… you could supercharge the 3.4 or 4.0 with factory parts and make more power than the 4.7.

And way better mpg (especially with a manual). The only time my RCLB V6 gets 15 mpg is when I'm towing.

i keep toying the idea around using a 3uz ECU with a a760e to gain another overdrive.. im curious if it'd help or not with the 4.7

    with 4wd yeah.

Base model RWD regular cab work trucks with V6 5 speeds are fairly plentiful.

Gotchya. And a Tacoma just doesn’t cut it because of the tiny bed?

Short bed, lower tow capacity & payload.

I mean officially the V6 tacoma and V6 tundra have similar ~5,000 lb tow ratings, but I don't fret towing a 4,500 lb suv on a 2,200 lb uhaul car hauler with the Tundra.

That and people around here want a lot more for 10-20 year old Tacomas than 10-20 year old Tundras...

You're putting expensive dreams of a SC'd RWD RCLB MT in my head. Supercharged 3.4 MT vs supercharged 4.7 slushy with upgraded rods?

Or is SC'd 4.0 the way to go?

SC 4.0 with a taco ECU (for tune) and some exhaust should net more power than a SC 4.7

06 v6 6 speed manual, only has 119k mi. Are these collectable at all? I was under the impression that the 6spd manual is fairly rare. Great truck

Low mileage means nothing in these trucks, except problems in a lot of cases. Especially if it saw lots of short-trip driving. I'd rather have a 300k mile truck on highway miles than a 119k truck that saw short 10-15 miles or less trips on average. Heads get cooked, seals shrink, dry out, and crack & leak etc. Not worth it.

And RCLBs are one of those things you hafta love or hate. If it's 4WD that's probably appealing to some, but generally speaking, a lot of guys want to have an SUV with a bed, making the double cabs a more attractive model that sells more. But access cabs are superior

A lot of the value depends on whether you're ignorant of these trucks needing the timing belt replaced every 9yrs/90k miles else you risk bricking the engine, and whether you lived in a salt-prone area or not - if so, the frame is probably already compromised unless you treated. A lot of info you'll want, including pricing, is over here.

If you're here to sell, be forewarned. Mods here are all over that stuff. You'll notice a complete absence of 'for sale' posts, and 'feeler' type posts. There's a reason.

Well the timing is perfect I suppose.. timing belt AND tires going at the same time. Probably just leave the truck in a field somewhere since it’s basically worthless anyway..
