Pulled my alternator off, found the bracket on the block had snapped clean in half at the threads. Looks like previous owner had to drill out the old bolt and add a time sert. Probably what had weakened it.
Is it worth trying to JB Kwik weld it back together. Or is there another plate or adapter that I could use? Thanks for any insight.

Got some pics so we can offer up better advice?

Dropping pics is easy on here, just find them on your computer and drag/drop into the text box.

OR go to www.imgur.com and drag/drop them into that webpage, and give us a link to the gallery.
