Regarding oil change interval of 10k
OR 5K OR 6K MILES. On tundra trucks
My opinion doesn't really matter, but my 40 plus years of experience driving most every car I've owned well past 250 k with no motor problems and being a pm mechanic for 20 + vehicles for 8 years plus being a diy mechanic since I usually couldn't afford to pay to fix it. Oil is cheap, synthetic not so much.i go by the manual that comes with your vehicle , (kinda)? Till the last 10-12 years, I still go with the 0-20 synthetic I've stopped using mobile 1 due to cost costco has 10 quarts synthetic case, for 60% less, and buy high mileage expensive oil filter, replace at 2cnd oil change. Skid plate purposely made to be a (pita)so I've gotten lazy in my late 50s, why not go 10k changes or even 15 or 20k like eu country's. Well most people have never looked at it in the glove box or opened it.owners manual has some good advice which excludes 90% of owners from 10k oil changes. 3k was standard change interval from being 10 and helping my dad do oil change on hilux toyo truck w/200,000 plus 4 banger small truck easy to work on to tt 300zx pita to work on I modified it no 200k,)lol very fun fast didn't last duhh!!20lb boost.to e500sport with 0-20 synthetic (mlc) car pulled so hard and smooth, way to $$$ parts/service/overengineered but fun! I had to sell it so I could eat.so I'm old enough to know working on new cars not fun as well as working on your old car at 105/or26 degrees cause your to cheap to take to mechanic, which leads to the tundra, I wanted a nice looking, dependable, comfortable full size modern truck 50k yikes ,never made a 620 payment ever I put huge down on Mercedes. Did fair amount of research mostly can this truck hit 300k b4 major $$$$ had good experience with super duty trucks, Nissan frontiers, several Toyotas, I have concluded that manufacturers want you to take your car to their astronomical priced dealership for any service needs regardless of costs or convenience. They purposely make repairs difficult for diy.so buy a decent scan tool. Find a local trusted mechanic, ask your friends ,is the shop clean well lite and appears to have at least 1 big scan tool machine. And synthetic is great but with looser oil rings, and tight tolerances in newer motors and $$$ service cost/parts and that your oil carries exhaust particals, gas, dirt, coolant, water, broken down organic elements, ect.this wears out parts not all is trapped in filter.just keep it simple but be religious about fluid changes especially oil it's exposed to so much.from a normal 35k a year driver

I lurked for a while before joining too don’t worry lol synthetic oil is more money but my mechanic friends say 7,000km for synthetic.. don’t forget you idle a lot in traffic too.. not captured in mileage. Worst thing you can do for your engine is old oil. Gunks up and blocks passages, etc. once a month I get messages from them people blowing up their engines.. most I would go is 8,000km on a synthetic oil change, personally.

You can edit your post and create some paragraphs based on theme/topic/composition. I have the opposite problem I usually create too many gaps/paragraphs in posts.

Great group of people on here. Blunt and sarcastic, but good people.

    Tips:

    1. Seems like this was your first post? The post title could be something like "new member" instead of your truck details.

    2. Body of your post could of been something like, Hi "im a new member long time lurker, my truck is xxxxxxx, mechanic for over 40yrs.

    3. Then in the Performance and tuning section, ( https://www.tundras.com/forums/performance-and-tuning.48/ ) creat a post specifically about engine oil. Breaking that post up into paragraphs about the topics you wanted to cover regarding oil changes.

Anyways, that my unsolicited advice. Welcome to the group!

Please don't get discouraged from posting here. We're only ribbing you as your initial post is a bit difficult to read and follow because of the formatting.
