What model are you all running? I'll be hauling a Jeep (approx. 5000# +/-) on an 18' hauler.

I don't personally tow anything that requires a WD system but my shop sells and installs quite a few. Curt Mfg are the ones we do most often, quality is great. Reese and Draw-Tite seem to be the most common. If I had to do a WD system tomorrow I'd be looking at an Andersen Hitches system. A little more money but the design and quality are excellent and they're a third of the weight and size of a traditional round bar or trunnion style system plus it has integrated sway control.

One of the best hitches I have ever owned. I had it for years, abused it and still worked fine when I sold it.

I now have an EZ because it came with my camper. Works like the Equalizer.

You couldn't give me an Anderson hitch. Research on how it works. I'm not a fan of the wear item being on the coupler and pawl.

I've looked into the equalizer and they look nice. I leave tomorrow with my truck about 4k on my 18ft trailer, just put it on the trailer and boy doesn't take much to make the Tundy get on the overloads. I wont have one for this trip but I will be picking one up for future trips.

Thanks guys...I'll do a little more research. Always too many choices and like to go off of what people have had their experiences with!
