Thanks that means a lot. Im working hard on the truck and build to provide info and knowledge to all. I can appreciate shops building bad ass trucks, but I like to show people that its not all that scary and it can be done at home too with time, tools and a little know how.

 

LOL yeah im curious to see as well. I know Ill have to clearance something at some point, and Im ready to start cutting and welding what ever when ever. i will say i think it will be night and day for you going to 37's as far as what it provides, and yes we have talked gears and lockers for us both is a must... lets do it in the fall. We will both be ready for it i think and we can do it at my place.

 

I'm not doing 37s until you take a big hit. And I mean BIG

 

Dude truck looks so good. I can't keep seeing all these long travel builds... there's zero chance I could handle that investment right now but now I want it so bad for my truck

so here is the short version... LT front end is amazing! I cant even begin to explain how you can take huge hits and take stuff at speed with out even expecting how smooth it ends up being, that being said, my rear sucks ass in comparison...

lastly im gonna be wrapping the truck and going for a different look..
Let me know what you all think of the wrap. one off design used on a few sema trucks back in 2014 designed in Canada. Found the designer and hes custom making me the wrap for my truck.

I took a big hit in parker and bend my skid but nothing else that was fun!




recent outing to superstition



new shift knob trd tacoma knob i custom fabbed to work on the tundra..



wrapped my steering wheel with a new leather hand stitched cover, took me 90 minutes to hand stitch the cover on. And pulled all the wood grain dash off to reveal the factory silver as well. I like it better, sporty!

I made sure mine was fully protected, i need to do an updated wiring diagram.

 

Most curious about the setup in general and wiring.

 

Ill work on a wiring diag asap, and hopefully that answers some questions

Badass build man, I was dead set on making a badass mid travel setup like @zackbremer but now Im thinking LT is worth more travel, way more expensive but I can wait. I always wondered if total chaos made a rear LT kit but Im not sure, I like them and pretty sure thats the route Im going. Upload some videos dewd!, I get tired of watching ford raptors on youtube (don't yell at me they have the most videos of high speed offroading besides trophy trucks), LT tundras sure are a small number and I wish to be one someday.

 

Zacks setup is awesome but I wanted more. I do not regret my LT one bit hence the LT rear and on the TC rear LT camburg offered a better. Product based on what I wanted so that’s my route ... plus they are just providing the hard metal bits the real part is still king and deaver. So it will work fine. And yeah I’ll get more vids for sure ! Everyone is tired of the damn craptors!!

Funny due to some upcoming changes... i had to move everything.. so Ill update with new pics for it...

 

Sooooooo... here is the recent updates..

Moved On board air.... reduced complexity, single compressor with one output , will add back distro block once i have locker installed. See pic for compressor location

Moved and simplified On board water. See pic for pump location.

Removed bed sides, and installed Advanced Fiberglass Bedsides 4 inch flare 2 inch rise

Modified RTT rack to work with fiberglass bedsides and added factory inside bed rails for securing RTT

ahhhh looks wider and better IMO



all glued up.. yes i said glued.. uses a two part epoxy recommended by advanced on how to install the bed sides (its how they do it)



here is the epoxy and gun required for it




On board water pump mounted under the bed side with stainless steel hardware and rubber isolators






on board air compressor on the other side...



bed sides done and trimmed at the bottom for better departure angle on tech trails.. and added reinforcement at the bottom as well.. and mocked up with the bed rack..
