Latest rattle in my dash was the passenger side air duct.

I finally took off the trim cover between the glove box and the top of the dash that the passenger side air vent is attached to. I felt around in there and found the air duct was rattling and hitting the dash. I shoved some foam between the duct and the dash and it all seems good now. I am the OCD rattle and noise king and this one was driving me bonkers to where I was looking for it every evening after work. Hopefully this helps someone else.

Good job in finding it. How hard was it to remove the panel?

The piece popped off with a little force. I used a plastic trim remover and started on the vent end by the door. The vent with the louvers comes off with the piece.

I have a rattle on my driver's side. It sound like it's near the dash speaker. Any ideas?

Could be the dash speaker cover itself. Mine is rattling like crazy when it's cold...but if my son merely applies a bit of force to the dash speaker cover, it stops. Fix will likely be to buy a new dash speaker cover for dirt cheap. LOL

It's tight. It almost sounds like it's down below the speaker. I can't close to the dash to listen for it when I'm driving lol.

My dash tray cover was vibrating a bit. It is the little plastic type insert that covers the center tray in the dash. I used some double sided gorilla tape to hold it down on the edges. Yours might not have that with the speaker?

I usually end up tapping in the plastics everywhere to try and find noises. Most of them come from loose trim pieces and noises can really act like a ventriloquist in the cab. My seatbelt take up pieces on the center pilar were really loose and were one source. The pillars on each side of the dash are also notoriously rattley ( new word).

Glad you found it and didn't need to take it in, lol.

Pull the cover, place felt tape on all plastic/plastic connections. Put the cover back.

My truck always gets squeaks during winter. Luckily, it’s only cold in S.Fl like a week in the whole year.

Always start by tightening the firewall cover in your engine bay.

I'll mess with it after I'm done with my current projects in work. I can duplicate it my pushing down on the dash in the corner where it meets the bottom of the A pillar.

What are you calling the firewall cover?

Good point not sure I am right on that description. This thing is held in by screws with a Phillips head tightening these a bit, 99% of my dash rattles went away.

A guy posted about it on Reddit one night, I did it and it worked brilliantly.

I found a thread the other day mentioning passenger side rattle, but I can't find it. They mentioned a bolt behind the glovebox being loose could potentially be a problem. I took mine apart, but it was tight, so I'm continuing the hunt.

I'm thinking it may be the fuses in the kickplate for my tailgate lock. After reassembly (and putting some tape around one of the two fuse holders) it seems to be a bit better. I too suffer from the rattle though, and it drives me nuts. Mines a vibration that occurs at certain RPMs.

I am not finding and screws in mine but instead it has metal clips. A while back I took it off to put the hardware screen on the vents for mouse mitigation. Today I went and tightened things up a bit as the passenger side near the hood hinge was a bit loose and didnt pass the tap test. I put a bolt in the end hole vs the plastic push pin.

The filter vent cover in the glove box was also making a bit of a rattle and I ended up putting some adhesive backed rubber over it.
