So I have a deposit down on a SR5 TRD OffRoad with March 3rd build date (late March delivery if I’m lucky).

I am wondering if anyone has yet swapped their grille for the TRD Pro style?

The grille is the only thing I want to pluck from the PRO (maybe the fender camo trim too) but I can’t find any part numbers.

Anyone have any leads or info?

    Cheers.

I don’t believe they are available yet

can’t see Toyota selling parts for a truck they haven’t released yet, but I could be wrong

spoke with the parts dept yesterday. they said with the current state of things as it is to come back around summer for things to be more readily available. but they're probably shooting from the hip also

Yeah, I love everything about the 1794 except for that big chrome grill. Yuck!

My guess is the aftermarket will probably have a grille solution long before the OEM TRD Pro grille becomes widely available.

I've always preferred the heritage style grill on all of my Toyotas. That's usually my first mod I do, but since this is the first year of a new generation I can't do that quite yet.

I wouldn't mind an aftermarket heritage-style grille without the light bar. The light bar I could take or leave. If I had 2 aftermarket grille options: With or without the light bar...I'd probably go without it. The stock LED headlights throw out enough forward light without anything extra. If I end up additional lights (doubtful), it would be ditch lights for off-roading.

When I went to the Toyota parts dept for trim color match parts or trd skid plate they told me nothing is available for the tundra… I know you can get some stuff through sparks parts. But I’m sure the trd pro stuff won’t be available yet

That makes sense. I know I'm eager with the timing.

    Makes sense.

    Right!

That's interesting on the Aftermarket. I also could live without the lightbar. It's 'cool' but not a deal breaker.

Yeah, I just gave a call to Sparks Parts and he said no grilles at all for the Tundra. No Limited, no SR5, no TRD Pro.

I feel bad for the guy that gets into a fender bender and can't fix his truck for a few months. ‍♂️

The only thing that's weird to me about it all is - I understand the microchip shortage is keeping the vehicles from completing production. But there's no chips in the grille, is there? I guess it just must be more of a factor of parts for a 2022 not being really 'needed' yet. ‍♂️

True story. I had a coworker who purchased a brand new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee back in the day. I think it was the first model of that generation. 2 weeks after purchasing it she got into an accident. A semi truck didn't see her in his blind spot and put her into the concrete divider on a highway. The whole Driver's Side was toast. Her Jeep was out of commission for nearly 3 months. Insurance wouldn't total it since the book value was still so high from it being new, but the body parts weren't available. It sat at CDJ Body Shop forever just waiting on parts.

    I'll never forget that.

There’s a lot more shortages then chips slowing down these trucks, as far as we know they have plenty of chips for the tundra.

That’s why there’s so many cosmetic issues. They are letting things out of spec go on trucks just to keep production up. They don’t have extra parts to sell yet. Hopefully by summer that changes.

If Bumpershellz created a kit for the 2022 Tundra...they could literally print money. There are so many people out there wanting to do a chrome delete on the front mustache and rear bumper that they could be making money hand over fist right now.

I filled out their "New Model Request" form in late December, but you can't even select 2022 as a model year yet on that form.

Hopefully, they'll get around to developing a kit for the new Tundra.

exactly, this company should put word out and offer it to someone for free just to get their truck to scan and fabricate the product.
this would be a huge seller if they get it .
If they would just come up a delete for the stupid chrome front handle bar mustache, that would be awesome.
I already put in a request to them for the 2022 Tundra.

I just bought my heritage Trd grill from E
Rave website. I do have one bigger issue my Tundra it's the Limited trim no Trd package and the front facing camera bracket it's different than the holes line up for the TRD. Anyone with any suggestions brackets are not sold separately they come with the camera and are 1k at dealers

Not sure if it works with the Rave grill, but Westcott designs makes a front cam bracket for the TRD Pro grill.
