I have 20 miles to empty and I don’t see any low fuel indicator. Is this a problem or should I wait?

also, anyone know after the indicator how far can I drive?

    I think it’s been discussed… 6 gallons for reserve

Thanks for the reply but when I expected the fuel indicator to come? I thought it would before 20 miles to go.

I have not had the light come on at all. I am just confused when it said I have 87 miles to empty. But when I fill it up it takes 21.3 gallons. The tank is only 22.5 gallons. That last 1.2 gallons must be super fuel. I started to keep a gas can in the back in case I would run out.

You have the TRD-OffRoad package, you might have the 32.5 gallon tank.
If you have any of these:
    Advanced Off-Road Technology Package
    SR5 Convenience Package
    Advanced Technology Package

3.4 gallons may be the amount for the small tank so might be more for the large tank. The light definitely turns on at DTE = 0 mi.

Thanks for asking what size tank I have. The vehicle tag does not indicate the bigger tank. Would be nice to have it. Accept when it was close to empty. $$$$$
According to xc_ct and the owners manual. (Thanks for posting that.) I would have 3.4 gallons left at 0 miles. So if I was able to fill up 21.3 gallons on a 22.5 gallon tank. That would mean the truck has close to 26 gallon capacity.

So the question would be has anyone had the low fuel light come on? If so how many gallons did it take to fuel it back up? If I ever got down to the warning light. Would it take more gallons than what the tank size states. How big is the actual tank???
