I've skimmed through the 75 page wheel and tire thread, but everyone seems to be using the same wheels, more or less, or something I really do not like.

I'm looking for an 18" wheel with as little poke as possible. As light as possible.

I think my best bet is Rays Gram Lights at 18x8 with a 36mm offset. I have no desire to run anything larger than an 11.5" tire, and really, under 11 is better for my driving needs.

I haven't started price-shopping, yet, but do any of you guys know of alternatives that might fit my criteria?

I'm looking for something light as well since I bought the 35x18x12.5" tires. I may go with GRAM lights too but may end up getting another set of TE's if needed.

Sub'd for a good wheel thread.
TRD offroad 18s and 20s are 8 inches wide so your specs should work. I've ordered 18x9 20mm Gram Lights and just waiting on that day.

The higher positive offset wheels are hard to find. If the Ray's come with a 36mm offset and you like them, sounds like a good choice!

Or what Siblue said about the TRD OE wheels in 18" have an offset of +60. You could add a 1" Bora Spacer which would give you an effective offset of +34.5mm.

I would black out the clear aluminum parts on those wheels.

Having a hard time finding specs on the wheels you posted. What is the hub bore? What is the weight rating? These don't look like they're cut out for truck work, but maybe that's what you have in mind.

If you drop down to 17’s the blackhorn off-road BH01 is 21.5lbs each and looks very rays’ish- lots of tuner bros ask me if they are Volk’s

Is that too much or not enough? Would require centering rings?

under 25 lbs would be completely fine with me.

I do not want 17s, I prefer the tire choices in the 18" range, and the blackhorn has too little wheel offset. Thanks, thoughl.

Man, I’ve been checking in on these for my wife’s 4runner and nothing in stock. They must be popular.

Well…choices are still limited in 18’s for the offset you require.

If you don’t mind waiting I think in the next few months or year you may see more options from SCS, Black Rhino, etc…not fully forged but flow formed so you get an 18” in the 25lb range and hopefully your offset.

You may need to wait either way for most Jap Spec wheels unless vivid or showstopper have them in stock.

Have you seen anyone who has blacked out the aluminum part of these wheels? I would think they would need to be powder coated to hold up, and at that point you might as well buy custom wheels

I haven't seen these all black. I think media blasting to get the paint off and powder coating would be the way to go. Once they are on and dirty, it would be hard to tell them apart from other wheels.
