This was my commute home 90/10 freeway/city. 65-70 on freeway.

I normally avg 14 in am and 20 going home, today was 23+, I dunno maybe I got a unicorn? I do climb a huge hill to get to work daily where it drops the speedo mpg by .1 or .2 daily, it's like a .5 mile climb of 2000ft.

From southern Arizona to Phoenix I maintained around what you're getting: 23mpg, but at 78-82mph. But it's also going from 4600ft to 1600, so there's a slight decline the entire way down back to the valley.

    My absolute best?

Averaged 31.1 last summer on the ~30 mile trek from Leadville to Buena Vista.

Overall life of the truck, closing in on 18k, I’m averaging 18.3, and I do a fairly even split of highway/town driving.

I believe around 22 is the best I've seen. I average 18.5 with about 50/50 split city and highway.

A dumb question, can I get that info screen on my digital cluster '22? I like seeing the total time, mileage together. Am I overlooking this option?

I've got the average mileage, but I can find one with travel time, distance, average mileage, etc all on one screen on the digital cluster (like the OP's picture). Is it there?

I got 25 once on a 15 mile trip. It’s really not hard for me to hit 20+ on reasonable highway drive.

3” lift kit, 35’s, WW flares, tonneau etc.
I only see that screen after I turn the truck off as a summary. It shows up after a few seconds, unless you open the door.
Haven’t seen one available while driving.

3600 mile back and forth trip to Arizona, 84 avg speed interstate, avg mpg of 18, sometimes 20 just depended on the quality of fuel I got at gas station, just turned 10k mileage should get better the more it's driven. Now that I got the transmission reprogrammed it's in the twenties.

260 miles each way in ECO mode.

    13.6mpg @ ~90mph
On the first leg of the trip I reset ODO and was getting ~18.6 @ 75mph and climbing. When I got on the toll road and began running 85-90mph (speed limit 85), I noticed a sharp drop and mpg over 85mpg. The toll road stretch is about 60 miles in the first 1/4 of the trip. Completed the first leg of trip with ~16.3mpg.

    21 @ ~75mph
Second leg it began ~18.5mpg, I stayed on main interstate and with speed of 75-80mph. Did hit some traffic that I think played into the overall mpg on this leg.

13.3 that’s the avg over the life of the truck, 37k+ miles with stock Michelin tires. I can’t work out why anyone would defy logic by resetting and pretending mpg changes over any selected conditions. If you get what you think is great miles on a trip across the prairie… why would you not also want to know what’s happening when you run errands in town one afternoon. Instead of pretending your mpg actually changes when you push reset, accept that you get what you get averaged over all driving conditions.

16 miles in 24 minutes and 27.6 miles in 45 minutes Amazing the fuel mileage you can get driving 35-40 miles an hour.

I drove Calgary Alberta to the Shuswap in BC, 510 KM ( 315 miles ) at 120-140 kmh ( 70-85 MPH ) and got 23 mpg. Will have to do a trip on the speed limit as I was in a rush on the Calgary one and kept a fast pace .

Wow that almost seems too good to be true… that’s like 10L/100 through several mountain passes with elevation changes to 6000ft into a normally prevailing headwind.

150 Mile round trip-all interstate. Temps high 40's no wind, gentle rolling terrain in the Susquehanna Valley running 70-80MPH and the gauge just at 20MPG. When I check MPG on fuel usage/miles always has it a .75 MPG better.

I got 18.3mpg on the drive home from Pittsburgh to Hampton Roads, headwinds, 80-90mph through the mountains, an hour of traffic around DC, and low 30's tire pressure.

Got the 26+ mpg driving 35-40 miles back from Costco, flat terrain, 50% highway at 80mph, 25% in town with traffic lights, 25% on electric power in my neighborhood. I was admittedly being deliberately cautious with the throttle. On the reverse trip without any concern for economy I got 20.8mpg.

No one is resetting for these trips. Every time you shut down the instrument panel gives you a summary from that run. It is very helpful to see what you get in all sorts of different driving conditions. Then the overall trip odo that I reset when I refill gives the big picture for the whole tank. And yes, short trips starting out cold will give you some pretty awful numbers.

My best when the truck was stock. These from driving from Allentown, PA to Brampton, Ontario. This was back in May 2022. Driving through PA and Upstate NY hills.

35s, Westcott, blah blah....all that stuff, plus a Diamondback bed cover. I consistently see 17.6 mpg on the dash, but when you compute with the tire size adjustments, I get close to 18.2 mpg. Not bad considering the foothills, mountains in the PNW.

It appears my mileage is very much determined by speed:

I get best mileage in the 40-50mph range. Around 22-24mpg

At 90mph, I am down at like 16mpg.

Normal 75mph highway speeds are 18.5mpg.

Same behavior I am seeing and makes perfect sense from the physics point of view and our big blunt moving objects. I haven't tried an extended run at 90 yet, nor do I plan to, but 75 to 80 and 18.5 or so is what I am seeing... and 20+ at lower highway speeds. Hopefully this will all be a little bit better when we get back on summer gas.

Yea those guys got unicorns, my last tank was 18.5, that's 90/10 highway/city. Going 55-70 on freeway, Cali had few weeks of torrential rain where everyone and their mom drove like 40-55mph during those 2-3 weeks it seemed.

My last fillip before 18.5 was 18.9 avg

That seems like realistic and good fuel economy. Those guys are just full of shit trying to skew everyone's reality.

Here is my latest short from one small town, through another small town (1 stop light), and then home. Max speed was 70. I'll add it is a hybrid and mostly flat.
