I went with 4Kanines full size split non-hammock type from Amazon. Fits like a glove, took 3 minutes to install. The nice thing about this one is that it has 2 zippers, one on either side of the armrest, so that either the 40% or 60% part of the seat back can be folded without having to disturb the cover. Also, the zippers can be cracked open to access the seatbelt sockets if people ever sit back there. Which is highly unlikely in this DC Tundra, especially behind the driver's seat. Maybe on the passenger side.

Nice. I got a similar one that comes up on the doors too like a bowl to keep them off the doors. I have the net in between the front seats too. My dogs will walk all over the console and my front passenger seat if I don't.

Looks nice, I have a 4Kanines as well.
I wish they would have made those split seat covers in 2014 when I bought mine.
I rarely need to get under/behind the seat, but I have to take the headrest latch apart to do it.

My cover has little velcro slots for the seat belts.
They are really hard to see, make sure you don't have those..

On a side note, that Gen 3 DC rear seat legroom looks A LOT smaller than my Gen 2.5 rear seat.
Not that it matters, no one ever rides in my back seat except pups..

This is all going to take a bit of adjusting for us. This DC really doesn't have a lot of room back there. With the seat installed it really has similar or even less than my Access cab Tacoma with the rear seats and console deleted. In that vehicle I made an elevated platform for the dog, a 22 # JRT mix, so he can sleep up there or run across the console to the front when he wants. In this Tundra we will probably leash him to the seatbelt anchor like we do in her CRV. It is really safer for the dog but we will miss the visits from our little co-pilot.

It really would be nice if the DC version had maybe 4"-6" more length for a little more people room and some floor space for luggage. But I had to have the long bed and the CM long bed gets to be a looooong beast so this is the way I went. And, there will never or very rarely be any people back there so, I didn't really want that huge rear CM cab anyway.

I may even do a rear seat delete on the Tundra, but to do that I'd also need to make a dog platform and to figure out how to delete the underseat storage boxes. Hopefully they just bolt up to the floor. That setup in my Tacoma is almost ideal for us... we can get lots of luggage behind the seats... golf clubs duffels, coolers, whatever and not have to put absolutely everything in the bed. On the Tundra I am thinking we'll keep the doggy on the 40% side, fold down the 60% side for luggage... and hopefully be able to have the passenger seat forward enough for some minimal storage behind it. If that doesn't work out, it'll be the rear seat delete.

Always tradeoffs, it seems. But we'll make it work somehow.

How do you protect the door upholstery from getting ripped up or dirty?

By having a well-behaved little dog! ;-) He's only 22 pounds and older so doesn't go too crazy back there. Plus, that upper area is mostly plastic. So, I am not too worried about it.

Sorry for jumping on this thread, but haven’t heard back on the appropriate thread. I recently got my TRD and put the Leer 100XR cap on it, and planned on putting the dogs in the back. I was just looking for some ideas/suggestions other than just putting a couple of kennels back there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is from Amazon. It protects the rear seat as well as the back sides of the front seats. The straps hook around the headrests. Have a 90lb German Shepherd and this is a lifesaver for my rear seat. It fits perfectly but I have a double cab.818Y9ju+ReL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

Any ideas on one that does not need the rear headrests to mount? I hate having rear headrests.. they are already in storage. I did purchase one that fit terribly, was the bathtub type. Ideally I would like to find a slip cover that possibly goes over the latch mech for the top seat section, then rolls over top of seat and drapes down over the lower seat. If anyone has a manufacturer on speed dial, I have a design in mind!

I generally hate rear headrests in trucks, too, and that was the first thing I removed in my 2009 Tacoma... even before I removed the entire jump seats. But in my Tundra, the digital mirror makes the headrests magically disappear. So, this time they stay. I have to say that the first time you turn around for a rear head check and see them it is a little startling... like where did those come from? ;-)

As for your dilemma, it seems like you could easily come up with a way to use the standard seat covers with the head rest attachments by fabbing up straps that would run from the cover headrest loops to someplace on the back side of the seatback.
