Hello All, currently in the market for a 2020 or 2021 Tundra Limited Crew Max TRD or possibly same years TRD Pro. Always liked white, really liking the cement color. Question is how come some limiteds I’ve seen in white or cement have a black Tundra side decal, and the tailgate Tundra stamp is painted black? It looks fantastic, but seems to be few and far between. Is it a sub model? Was it a dealership add on? An option?

    Any information is helpful.

    Thank you.

The stamp is usually the color of the body paint, and then a dealer (Toyota Accessory) or aftermarket fill-ins are used. So, if the truck has one and you don't want or like it, you can take it out; and in contrast if it doesn't have them and you want them they can be done after the fact. You'll see a lot of the black Pros w/Red lettering in the rear 1/4 panel stamps.

If you build a new Tundra now, you can see pricing, etc. for adding the stamps at the end of the build (like bedliners, steps, etc.)...

Roger, thank you. I’m assuming it’s the same deal with body colored front bumpers? Outside the Platinum model which includes it of course.

I think each year is a little different, but I haven't really played w/them. I believe you're correct though in terms of different trims having caps on some of the bumpers. Tons of threads of various builds and mods showing how guys swapped out black for color match or chrome for black, etc.. Also, if that is something you are looking at doing, keep an eye out in the 'marketplace' threads because they come up pretty regularly for sale much cheaper than dealer pricing; sometimes it's simply come take this thing out of my garage!!! Lots of folks upgrade to aftermarket units as well and are just trying to recoup some of their expense by selling their OE parts. Don't forget about your local ads for deals.

Good luck and welcome to the site!!!!

PS>>> Don't worry too much about the cosmetics... Find the right truck that has low mileage and is well cared for, then make it your own would be my suggestion!
