My check engine light came on. Code suggested knock sensor. I changed the timing belt, water pump and tensioner. New Serpentine belt up front all at 100,000 miles. This seemed to make it happy for the last 13,000 miles . Now check engine light is coming back on same code . I learned there are two knock sensors under the manifold. Each time disconnecting the battery for just a second resets it, and it seems to be happy for a couple of weeks and then it does it again. Knock sensors are around $200 a piece. Labor to install is a killer. Is anyone else having these issues?

huh. Code says knock sensor, so naturally you changed timing belt, water pump and tensioner. Must be a story around that :)

The time had come to change the timing belt. I was hoping that the timing belt stretched out just enough to cause a vibration. It actually did Stretch out a little compared to the new one. Timing belt, water pump and tensioner, all came in the kit. Shot in the dark. Just me being a little stubborn. Had this Tundra 11 years.Other than normal maintenance not a dime out of my pocket. Looks like I won't be saying that much longer...
