Considering this option because of the price. I've read it's cheap, but does anyone have any bad experience with it?

Can't speak to the entire grill kit, but I can speak to the marker lights and Rave's customer service & communication.

I bought their marker lights for the TRD Pro grill. I've had good luck with them. No moisture intrusion, even after several heavy rain storms and snow storms. I ordered my set right after Rave dealt with a bad batch from their overseas supplier and people complained about water intrusion in their lights. Daniel, the owner of Rave, reached out to me at various points with follow up emails just to make sure everything was good with my lights. I assume my lights were part of the first new batch AFTER the bad batch. His proactive customer service & responsive was awesome IMO.
Just wanted to share a good customer experience. Seems like most of the time people only share the bad stuff. So there ya go.

Do you have to reuse Toyota letters to fill hole at the top? Newbie question I know! The kit is quite the deal ! How was installation of new switch in the cab? Wiring was straight forward?

I have not been able to wire my light bar with the dash switch, awaiting some help from Daniel as he has been helpful thus far with my questions, but the only diagram for the wiring was a simple "this wire connects here" without describing any of the process. I thought maybe I was just too novice at wiring, but after watching countless videos and consulting a friend who has wired a dash switch for his light bar, it seems to be that it might not come with everything necessary to complete the wiring, or just not complete enough instructions for someone who doesn't have a lot of experience with electrical wiring.

All you need to figure out the wires is a volt meter.

I got suckered into the original rave light batch....never buying from that guy again. He reached out to me after he got booted from here and didnt offer a refund, said the light manufacturer stated they were working as intended

Have you been able to connect light bar? Working on mine now with heritage grill swap and halfway done. About to work on wiring portion. I agree on the “instructions” too simplified. Not enough details for DIY in my opinion.

I had a look at the Rave light bar and it appears to run off a 5 amp fuse and does not come with a relay so not necessary. That would make the install a bit more straight forward. If you got the square backlit switch, that will probably be the hardest part of the install. A multi meter will be an asset in this case. You will need to find the power for the switch light by taping into the wires in the area.

Some guys have added a Taco Tunes fuse block to make adding more accessories a bit easier and cleaner.

How you wire it really depends on how you want to control the light. You could have it triggered to a running light so when you turn on your lights it comes on as well. Or a separate switch to run it when you want. I think the factory light bar on TRD Pro only works when the high beams are on to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. You could use a fuse tap and have it on all the time! Just angle it down so it doesn't blind others.

Thanks, just installed the marker lights. Working on the light bar now. Had to go buy fuse tap to do that instead of directly to battery. You got pic to where you tapped into the fuse box?
