Hi all, looking for suggestions for slide in camper tie downs. Seems companies like Torklift and Brophy and Happijack dont keep up with engineering tie downs for anything past 2020.
So my question is,Has the frame changed on the tundra from 2020 to 2023 that I could order tie downs for a 2020 truck?

The frame is 100% different between those 2 years.

    No chance.
The rear bumper used to be the one universal mounting point across all truck lines, but the new Gen 3 doesn't come close to allowing that. The '20 mounts off the frame in the front and, again, at the bumper wrap--bolt visible right at corner.

An fyi, Happijac doesn't even acknowledge their earlier 07-16 kit fits the '20, but obviously it does.

Mountaingroan, how was the installation for the front anchors from happijac? Do you have to drill through the frame or bed with those ones on the Tundra?

Goose, it's easy peasy for most guys. No drilling necessary, bed is untouched completely. Utilizes factory frame holes for front mounts
The only holes drilled are through the rear bumper caps for the rear slide-in chain mount brackets.
Happijac's reviews and installation don't include the later 2.5 gen in their recommended application, but they fit perfectly and mount easily in the later models, no mods needed.

Appreciate the insight - it seems the Tundra set up is different than other truck models (which look more complicated). I'll probably go this route on my 2013.

+1...HJ did a good job with design on these.
if you had a gen one I'd suggest the bedside brackets ala the F150, they really look slick and retrofit easy.
I have a set that just sit in the garage from my last gen one.

Just following up on this thread. Has anyone found a solid slide in camper tie down system for the 3rd Gen Tundras? I have not been able to find anything. Crazy that this version has been on the streets a couple of years now and still no fits. Appreciate any help. Thx.

I've had a Four Wheel Camper in our 2022 for over a year with diy tie down bars bolted to the frame using the factory bed bolt locations. I'm not the only one. Excuse the lack of paint on the rear one in this old photo.

I talked to the folks at Torklift and they finally have camper tiedown fits for the 23 Tundra. Items TL37CR and TL57CR. Good luck.
