My truck has had this damage since I got it. It was a heavily used construction truck and someone backed into a wall, pushing the driver bumper into the bed. I replaced the corner bumper and bracket and would be nice to lessen this dent in the bed. Not looking for perfection or anything close, just don't want to spend thousands on it. Do you think this can be pulled out or made to look a bit better?

Maybe bump it out from under the truck or remove taillight. Get a wood block and hammer at it? It's what I've done in the past

Would you put the wood block at the apex of the dent and start pounding? I have never done this.

That's where I would start and work from there.

Might need a few different shape blocks and positioning to fine out the rest if needed. At least to make it as least noticeable as possible. Still might not be perfect, but I'm sure 30-60 minutes of working with it would look pretty decent for cheap.

Use hot glue to glue something to it and pull it out with vise grips. You may need to have multiple things in a few different spots and slowly work it out. Then just roll the glue off with your fingers.

There is typically more support underneath those corners that might also be tweaked. If that's the case, you will probably have a hard time pulling the outer sheet metal dent out. I'd start with pulling the bumper to get a better look at everything. Are my eyes deceiving me or is your tailgate also tweaked?

I didn't even notice the tailgate.

I had paintless dent repairs on my previous truck, and you could not tell.. however they were not as bad as this, but I'd get an estimate anyways..

Lol. That's another issue that's too expensive to fix. They had a pallet of pavers unsecured on bed liner and it slid back into the gate.

This is for sure beyond paintless as the heavy crease already has paint peeling away from the metal.

If it were my truck I'd pull the bumper, inspect the sheet metal and probably mimic the opposite of hitting a wall. I've been known to hook from a car to a solid object with chains to pull dents out the poor mans way lol

I pulled the bumper and the only thing tweaked was the corner chrome bumper, it's direct support bracket(both replaced) and a long, thin skinny bar that attaches to the sheet metal corner.

Yeah, the paint damage doesn't bother me but it's a pretty sharp crease like you said.

Yeah maybe see what a paintless dent repair place can do. Maybe they can get most of it out and you'll be left with that area of creased paint.
