Dropped my truck off at the dealer 2 weeks ago to have them address some wind noise and fix a rattle. Upon getting the truck back I have noticed a very musty smell in the backseats, I have checked the headliner and floors and haven’t found any wet spots or moisture, but trying to figure out where it’s coming from. The day after I got it back I took it through the car wash, then opened the sunroof for the first time in a few months- that’s when I noticed the smell. It was mid 50’s that day, so no frozen drain lines or the like. Thanks all!

I don’t have the smell. Possibly someone drove or rode in it and spilled something like milk or food somewhere?

I have had service people leave food behind in older cars.

many of the fixes fix the rattle and wind?

drivers door rattle fixed, passenger still making some noise with heavy bass.

they ordered a new passenger mirror to test out, 99% it’s the seals. They were trying to blame all the noise on my topper/ Yakima fly rod holders and Baja design lights…. Told them the noise was there before all that stuff.

How the hell does that thing fit in any car wash? Must be some cool car washes up your way. Likely a seal in the back, third brake light, sunroof drain, or rear window leaking into the truck.

No a/c running. What’s weird is you can only
Smell it when you open the back doors, not the fronts

Check under your drivers floor mat. Dealing with moisture/water soaking the carpet. Fighting with Toyota right now about it.
