Has anyone permanently mounted anything to the composite bed on the 22/23 Tundra? If it was a steel bed I would have no issues with it but this composite bed is new to me. I have dirt bikes and I want to mount either a etrack system or wheel chocks or something like this to the bed and Im not really feeling it .....info, advice, thoughts....

    Thanks

Only thing I would say is for anything that will carry weight or have a heavy pull use a metal backing plate on the other side of the composite to mount the fittings. Bigger will be stronger. But of course it may be difficult to gain access to fit these.

I would venture a fairly uneducated guess that the composite bed is going to be less prone to stretching under tension and fatigue cracking over time than the old sheet metal bed was. The camper tiedown eye bolts in my 2020 had stretched the sheet metal bed pretty significantly over the course of a year even with large backing plates.

I would guess the same. But I would add that where the metal stretched, the composite will snap, crackle and pop.

thanks everyone ! I'm little uncomfortable with the idea of drilling and mounting on the bed. Think I can come up with a different idea to use the Bed Rail System, will post when I figure it out.
