Good one! Many years ago, about the time biscuit joiners were made widely available, they were first marketed, many people were impressed and loved them. I wasn't one of them, but I have memories and they weren't florescent green either. I prefer to buy old but still good power tools from pawn shops or estate sales vs. anything from a big box store. As for the trash can, picked up a pre 1985 7 1/4" Skil worm drive circular saw from the curb one day. Had a bad blade and it was rusted pretty good. However, there was recent wrench marks on the arbor bolt. The reverse thread probably had them sold on it being too rusty. Its made thousands of both wood and steel cuts since I picked it up and I still use it more than my also old 8 1/4" Milwaukee.

Just recently picked up an older skil worm drive from my father in laws house. Haven’t had the time to go through it, but I’m looking forward to reconditioning it and putting it in the arsenal

edit: also believe it’s the big 10.25” guy. I’ll post pics if I remember when I get home.

My Dad's old Craftsman drill still worked last I saw. He bought it when I was in my teens and I'm 45 now.

Edit: so does his circular saw

I am a Ryobi user and for 90% of my jobs they are good enough for the price. Like fish in a river, the bolts I loosen and wood I cut don't care about the brand name of the tools. But I also don't rely on my tools for anything more than weekend jobs.

With that said, my 10% is the Ryobi cordless ratchet. I purchased the new brushless one and with a battery on it's practically a longsword. I used it for some light things under the truck last week and promptly returned it. Even for the weekend warrior, Milwaukee wins.

The meme is funny, I don't care who you are. That said, I've got a smattering of Ryobi tools. They are consumer power tools. These are right in the middle tools at middle prices. None of my projects cared what color these tools were, they just worked. I also never misplaced one of my fluorescent green tools either, handy color. Not great, not terrible. Every one of them I have does what it was supposed to do. The drill and impact have never failed me through numerous house renovations and weekend projects at friends hoses. My new 1/2" impact is a beast that laughs at the bolts my pneumatic impact struggles with. The skill saw and jig work fine. The multi-tool is a game changer. My rolling tool box and tool box attachments (packout knock-offs) were significantly cheaper than the other brands offerings and have held up well. Is what it is.

Oh, you meant the 2019! Yes, very nice truck, I tried to eyeball some of your posts after seeing your truck in another thread. I wasn’t cool enough to see them though

    It's a funny meme because it's true. :D

I use Milwaukee because of 3 reasons:

    1. It makes me feel more like a real tradesman, which is important because my manly identity is tied to this. Obviously, so is dick size.

    2. @War Machine would belittle me mercilessly if I used anything else. I just can't handle that type of abuse.
