Looking to see if there is an upgrade for the 2017 Tundra transmission cooler. Im seeing that the transmission cooler is part of the AC condensor. Id like to have a more dedicated transmission cooler.

Does anyone know if the make an upgraded transmission cooler for the 2017 Tundra?

You can buy any cooler and install it but keep in mind that the thermostat decides whether to flow oil to the cooler. There should already be a thermostat installed from factory because of the model year of your truck. I installed a Setrab cooler and I really like it for when I’m towing. The finicky part of an install is perhaps making the bracketry. Depending on where you buy a cooler the brackets may be available for your truck specifically. I’d check into genuine cooling systems online.

I was able to find this on their site. Looks like it still uses the factory cooler (through the AC condenser) but adds the Setrab cooler after it.

Yeah @Genuine Cooling Systems is who you want to talk to. I know he has everything listed as out of stock though because of Toyota parts but he might be able to sell you one of the kits that is just an add on cooler since theres no Toyota parts in it. He was super quick to respond when I bought my cooler from him.

I been wanting to convert to a standalone cooler also. I was thinking of using the parts from the 2007-2009 models. Also possibly rerouting the power steering cooler lines to run to the current trans cooler in the ac condenser
