Not sure why you need it, but if you're installing an aftermarket HU, you're better off using the one that came with it.

I'll see if I can find the connector you're looking for..

You might be on to something.
The OEM mic cable is shielded..

It has been so long since I had my OEM HU I don't remember what it looked like...

Photobucket just went to shit so I can't post the diagram

It is not, the OEM microphone is part of the large connectors that plug into the back of the radio. Trying to interface it into an aftermarket radio is very difficult.
The factory microphone is a powered circuit and it gets a +5V and ground signal from radio.

Im hoping to find an adapter to reuse the oem microphone to use with my dasaita headunit. No one has found a way to reuse it yet and that seems to be my last plug from the truck so i figure it was the microphone.

Can anyone tell me what this little plastic piece is? I thought it was where the oem mic went?

Looks like it's just a cover.
Pop it off and see what's under it..:D

If you're adding an aftermarket HU, you're going to have to use their mic.
I ran mine up the pillar and tucked the wire under the headliner.
    I don't even notice it's up there..
