    Hi all,

    I am a lowly '02 owner but my yard guy has a sweet '16 with a heavy camper he often has in the bed (but sometimes removes). We are in the PNW near portland. He is having trouble locating airbags.

    Is there a good thread with detail of all the airbag options for 2.5 gen Tundras and where/how to get them installed? If so, please point me in the right direction. If not, perhaps this can be the start of a central repository for all things airbag related?

    I don't tow or haul heavy on any of my trucks so all this airbag stuff is new to me.

    $393 W217602445 Ride-Rite Kit for Toyota Tundra
    W217602445 is the correct kit for a 2016 per the firestone website. Amazon sells them for $400 for the kit.

    I believe that's the same kit that i put on my 2017. Nothing really earth shattering on how to install them. Directions are good, just drop the spare tire and there's plenty of room to move around.

    I ended up using cradles so that i didn't have to worry about deflating the bags prior to the truck being on the lift.

    Installing bags isn’t too complicated, so buying online and doing it yourself is a good way to go. I did it on a previous truck. Then you’re not limited by availability at a local shop.

    If your buddy doesn’t want to handle the install then I’d start at a local Les Schwab.

    As for brands, I’d stick with Firestone.

    I have Firestone kit on my Tundra. Works as advertised, although the claim to be able to level 5000lbs is BS. You shouldn't have anywhere near that much in the bed anyway.

    I don't recall opting in for any special cradles aside from what the kit comes with and it's been fine for me.

    Air bags, ARK liners, misc bullshit added also
    2nd vote for the firestone bags and daystar cradles, well worth the money and 3 hours to install.

    Thanks so much. Any thoughts or concerns with stock leafs and stock shocks? Is this a one and mostly done sort of mod?

    I have stock leafs and stock shocks. I need to replace my shocks, but they were worn out long before I put the airbags in.
