Another plus with headache rack, I have two bed extenders that convert to upright load supports and a front receiver hitch. Put all that on and hauling a 24' beam in a Crewmax is no problem as well.

I had a big round tube chrome one on my 1981 Chevy step-side with BIG KC lights on it..:eek2:

I see them on some new Chevy Colorados as part of a package lately.
    I don't care for it..

I kinda of like the look. I thought about getting one for my truck, but you can't have that and a toolbox and I'd get much more use out of a toolbox. So, I got a DECKED box and love it!

Most everything including Gumby eventually makes an appearance again and I have seen several people around these parts adding sport roll bars. Even have a neighbor with a 2000 Ford Ranger who used one from a full size and cut the legs off perfectly to match up to the bed rails. Just for looks, and he did an excellent job with the precision cutting. Do what suits you and your truck, forget about the haters.

There's a guy in the neighborhood who has a RAM TRX with one on it. I like it. But who cares what internet people think. You do you. If you like it, then go for it.

Before I turned 16, I really wanted a Chevy z71 stepside. Don’t see those anymore either. Wonder if they’ll ever make a comeback.

Is that a new truck with a bed from the 50s? Or do they make them that way now? I’ve never seen that.

    New body, old bed.

Supposedly they are making the single cabs with short beds in America in 2023 or 2024.

I say, go for it if you like it.

I like the look of the sport bars that I've seen on some of the newer trucks. I would much rather mount auxiliary lights to a sport bar vs drill holes in the cab to mount BUT... I really need a hard tonneau cover for how I use my truck and a roll up softcovers lack security, retractable garage door style loses too much space in already short bed. Also, ultimately adding any aux lighting needs to not add to overall height of the truck as I still want to be able to get in 7 ft garage doors/clear parking garages.

I'm a fan of these. Might even do one eventually.
