    Looking sweet.
I color matched the fog surrounds in my 2008 silver sky while keeping the chrome bumper and it was a great accent.

I was very surprised with how much I like the fog accent.
Eventually my Boost mirrors will get added to the truck lol its just 104 here today and I do not want to be running wiring in this heat...

Looks like I might be heading down your way in September to help sometime install them (and some other goodies).

Our weather will hopefully be decent at that time :fingerscrossed:

Hopefully I'll have my mirrors on before you make it out here. I have everything for the install (finally) and just need the time. Now that I have my bumpers blacked out, I am already itching to get the color matched tow mirrors on.

Weird... realized I didn't post about my suspension swap. None of those photos are on my phone

So piecing this together and don't have the great before and after. Over Thanksgiving weekend of 2021, I swapped my suspension myself from the stock black stuff to some TRD Sports with coachbuilder shims added to the front aiming to gain 1" lift. Down the line I plan to lift the front 2" and the rear about 1" so this allows me to visualize the truck with the future rake but without having to buy new tires. Plus, it was fun doing this myself (normally only do minor stuff and I consider this major). I did have some issues but per usual @Squatting Pigeon provided useful advice and got me thru it, along with my neighbor having some additional sockets. I was lazy and didn't drop the TRD skid plate or my Valhalla shields (would have potentially been easier without them since I would have had more access under the truck. All in, I gained about 1.5" in the front and I've been loving the look and ride of the truck!!!!

I must not have moved some pictures to my Tundra folder so they are buried with all my other pictures...

I added one of the half console safes off Amazon for under 100. I really like and am I'm happy with how it feels for the cost. I did not remove the center console lid, instead I sort of just pushed the safe in and it only left 2 small marks on the lid hinge. There is 0 rattle from this, which was my biggest worry with buying a cheap one from Amazon.

Also realizing I missed posting about footwell illumination. The wife's cheap Ford has it and it seemed like a novelty that I wasn't to interested in. But as time went on and I drive at night all the time, it became apparent that the big interior of the crew max has very little illumination for if you drop something. Didn't do the VLeds kit but opted for a cheaper kit off Amazon that I got on sale for under $30. Installed February of '21 and I've had no issues with them. They come on when the doors open and are on when driving. I've since turned the brightness down and barely get reflection at night. Really easy to see the foot wells now and gives a nice low level illumination that I'm happy with.

I keep slacking with updating this. I added an OPT7 tailgate lightbar and used a Curt 7 pin adapter to tap into. The adapter plugs in to the back of your existing 7 pin connector, but the Curt harness adds an additional 4 pin. This allowed the tailgate lightbar to connect to this new 4 pin, and I tapped the reverse wire in the adapter. Let me wire everything cleanly but didn't affect stock harnesses and everything can easily be replaced. Have been loving the lightbar, the sequential amber blinkers work very well with the amber blinkers in the HotTails. Brake light is bright without blinding drivers, and the reverse provides light without washing out the reverse camera.
If I did it again, I'd install the lightbar to the truck with velcro instead of the provided clips.

Seems I forgot about these until the above post. Did the Hot Tails mod and absolutely love it. If you are looking to replace your bulbs with LEDs, I highly recommend this kit. Basically the same price as all the LEDs, but you get a harness to update functionality. Now both top and bottom lights in the red are your brake and driving light, while the clear section on the side is the reverse and now an amber blinker. Everything is more visible than the stock set up. 100% recommend especially if you are like me and really didn't like how the aftermarket tail lights looked.

Had been eyeing the custom battery hold downs that you see offered from Coupe. Almost bought one in 2020 for Christmas but was going to get my father in-law one as well (he also drives a Tundra) but he wasn't sure if he was going to keep his truck or trade it so I skipped getting custom hold downs. But when the ToyoMafia ones were dropped, I was all over that especially since they were offered in blue :headbang:

Also traded out the Bakflip tri-fold for the RetraxPro. Was tired of losing visibility out the back window when the bed cover was all the way open, and wanted to be able to get a rack in the back for kayaks. This mod happened in the first part of 2022, I'm just slow at posting it seems lol
Yes, the canister takes up bed space but I really haven't had issues with it. I love being able to see out the back when its open and that it can latch anywhere you want (but you can latch it inline with your stock cleats, the lock mechanism hits the eats and can't latch).

Went biking with @Squatting Pigeon, we've gone a few times. I do have a tailgate pad but if I'm just transporting my MTB, I'll just put it on its side in the bed. Not like the bike didn't see dirt the first time we hit a trail

So this one has been in work for far too long.... picked up the Boost tow mirrors back in 2021 but bought the paintable caps, but ran into issues because I was trying to paint things myself. The paintable caps come beigeish so I couldn't run the mirrors with the caps unpainted. I did the power fold version, but wanted to keep the interior of the truck looking cleaner so I picked up a Toyota mirror switch that had a fold button on it. I suck at electrical and knew this was not going to go smoothly for me, install is roughly 6 hours solo and I knew I'd use all of that and then some. And I kept not having a free day that I could just work on the truck so the mirrors kept being delays.

Well... I'd bugged @RainMan_PNW enough about how to wire the mirrors, how to depin connectors, and many other questions you get from someone who doesn't really know what they are doing but understands they can f up their truck easily by wiring things wrong. I then got lucky and he ended up in the same town as me and offered to help me out. @Squatting Pigeon was in for truck stuff and let us use his house since his driveway and garage were cleaner and allow us space to work. Having 3 folks to work on a truck is an incredible thing!!! In 6 hours we got the mirrors on, dropped the front bumper and added a lightbar and a color matched plate in the winch opening, ran all the wires, and got my switch controller connected! All in less time then just doing the mirrors would have taken me! And Casey did the wiring better than I would have, so added bonus!

Edit: link to product, yes they are pricey. Wait for a sale, couple threads on the forum for Boost and folks often mention when they are discounted.

Its a vinyl overlay but the company received a Cease and Desist from Toyota so they haven't been able to sell them for a few years. The next best option is to put some dark tint over the whole oval piece. This hides the chrome T but still allows the sensor to function.

Its the simple things that make you smile. Like adding a touch more blue were rarely anyone will see

These were a Christmas gift but I'm really impressed with them so far. Nice quality and easy to install. ABS sensor covers for anyone not familiar with this product. They just bolt right over the sensors, easy peasy.

How many cans of plastidip did you use for the bumpers? Same with the bedliner? How many coats of each? Thanks!

I think I used 3 cans of plastidip. I bought like 5 since I wasn't sure and its better to have some extra. I did 4 coats with it and it looked well covered. I only had 1 can of the Turbo bedliner, I wish I had bought 2 but I learned too late that you burn thru it quick. I have 2 coats on the front and 1 coat on the rear, and the can was empty. I would have liked to be 3 coats in the front and 2 in the rear, but its still holding.

Awesome thanks! this is going on my list of things to do. Really appreciate it. Is there any reason why you wouldnt just cover the bumper with the bedliner to begin with? or did you just want the option to remove later?

I wanted the reversability. I wasn't sold on the black bumper and was considering trying to color match. But I love how it looks now. If you want to just go bedliner, you will want to scuff the chrome pretty thoroughly and then hit them with an etching primer before spraying the bedliner.
