Who has a solid recommendation for a jumper pack to keep in the truck?

There are TONS of YT videos out there with test comparisons on these things. Project Farm's YT channel has a great one, for example. However, no one seems to test the length of time each unit holds its standby charge. They only seem to test it's cranking ability.

I've had one unit before, but I found myself having to take it out and charge it every 2 weeks just to maintain it. I understand that I can't leave it in the truck for a year and expect it to be charged in an emergency when I need it...but I'd like something that holds its charge longer. Ideally, a unit that I might only have to charge once every couple of months (with it just sitting idle, of course).

The previous unit I had was a small lithium ion-based jumper. I thought that might hold it's charge longer than an older, lead-acid battery based unit but maybe not.

Anyone out there had good luck with a brand they'd recommend that holds it's charge for awhile?

    TIA.

NOCO has been a great one for me it holds a charge for 12 months no problem. It also can jump several vehicles on a single charge. I have had mine for 3 years and used it several times to jump everything from a built high compression small block to a small diesel John Deere tractor.

Awesome. Thanks so much! That type of longevity is exactly what I'm looking for.

Are you rocking the 2000 amp model?

Noco is the way to go. I have the GB40. I would not leave one inside a vehicle in hot climates. The battery can swell and that could lead to a bigger disaster.

Anti-gravity Batteries has been in the scene for awhile and it holds a charge very well. We bought one in 2015 and I bought another one a few months back to have for another vehicle. https://antigravitybatteries.com/products/micro-starts/xp-10/

I have the XP-10 which is their big boy, but they have smaller ones that are cheaper too.

That's wicked fast! I would love to know if it would have succeeded with a jump.

My wife's charger was recently 2 bars out of 4 and would not start my Tundra. Hers was a gift (a Costco special) and has worked in the past. Darn thing took 4 hours to charge so now I have a calendar reminder to do it on the first of every month.

I have every reason to think it would have worked. I have never needed it, I like having it. lol
