    Hey all,

    After 51 weeks of waiting, my dealership (one of many I was on a waiting list at), called me out of the blue and told me they had what I was looking for, and the person who it was supposed to go to passed on it.

    Needless to say I was thrilled and rushed to the dealership to get the paperwork done.

    2023 TRD Pro in Solar Octane. The color is growing on me...but I absolutely love the truck.

    Coming from a Honda Ridgeline, and love the upgrade.

    Congrats on the new rig and definitely an upgrade from a Ridgeline :thumbsup:

    If you don't mind us (me) asking, how'd you make on pricing??? I know a lot of folks are hoping that the market is starting to balance out a bit on the higher trim levels...

    I paid MSRP at the dealership in Grants Pass, Oregon. After the DMV and dealership fees, it was 70,xxx.

    Glad to see that! I know in today's market (even though it's softening a bit), the higher trims are still seeing many of the dealerships holding out for markups above MSRP. While we are not yet back to a point where we can negotiate from MSRP down (especially on PROs, etc.), it's refreshing to see the market correcting...

    But, enough on unpleasantries; what do you have planned for the new truck?? Enjoy as is, mods in mind, etc...

    Yes, its good to see the market somewhat correcting itself. I was in the Vegas area in late summer and was shopping around and was surprised to see a couple places asking 100K for the Pro. Cheapest I had seen it was mid 70's.

    Anywho, I have a short list of some mods that will be happening. Baja designs lighting at the front, and a CBI covert bumper are towards the top of priority. I have my
    $165 Midland MXT275 MicroMobile® GMRS Radio – 15 watts Two-Way Radio with Integrated Control Microphone – Overland Caravanning Tractors – Detachable External Magnetic Mount Antenna - 8 Repeater Channels
    Midland MXT275 that I am putting in right now. I also plan to upgrade the tires to probably 35x12.5x18 KO2's after the stock wildpeaks reach the end of their lives.

    Other mods will come as I see use for them, but that should be a start!

    Awesome good to hear a fellow Oregonian finally get one! I have a build date of Feb 2 for same model and color, then will pick up from Columbia gorge Toyota. Really excited that it’s getting close!

    Congrats! That is a beautiful truck and if I had the choice I would have definitely gone with that colour myself. Still like the magnetic grey but the solar octane looks awesome with the black trims

    Welcome from GA. You know, home of the National Champs!! I never thought I would like Solar Octane until I saw one in person. After wiping away the drool I have come to really like it. I agree it is sweet on a Pro with black wheels. Enjoy it. The wait continues for mine (7 months and counting) but it should be here this month or early next month.
