hi, im rebuilding a st generation tundra. I rolled over in my 4x4 tundra, and got totaled. i bought a 2x4 with damaged motor. took the motor out and put my wrecked 4x4 engine with transmision and installed it on the 2x4 body. along with harness computer and everything i could think of to make the 4x4 engine work on the 2x4 body. I got the engine to turn over and run but for some reason i think its stuck on protection mode or something cause it will only accelerate passed half pedal and the throtle body valve will opens like a querter of the way. i already changed tps and still the same thing. can anybody help me through this problem. ive been stuck on this problem over 2 weeks already.

This is in the 1st gen builds section. Would probably be better off in the regular first gen section as the builds section doesn't see as much action.

Also when you do post it over there be more specific on year and cab configuration of both trucks. More details the better.

    CEL codes?

Definitely a throttle body issue. Could be a bad motor, or APPS, or just a bad connection.

Do you still have the other throttle body? The one from your 4x4 is known good as long as it wasn’t damaged in the rollover. Might be worth a swap to eliminate the possibility.

Yeah i do have it. But its no good, it broke in half. Besides i already swapt 3 throttle bodies and all 3 do da same. It revs past half pedal and throtle body port only opens about 1/4 of the way

I would start looking at the wiring.

It sounds like the throttle motor isn’t functioning.

I think you found your problem.

Take a photo of the plug and I can go out and take a photo of the wires in the correct orientation.

I am very confused by your picture. Is that a solid axle under there?

I thought when you said back of motor you meant throttle motor, not the back of the engine.
