Tundras live: Agree to disagree (a lesson in civility)

To be fair, I thought Ling Lang was the brand and that you added the "mostly rounds" part as a jab at the no name brand.

 

LOL...Yeah, dogs travel great if they fit with where you're traveling. But I'm not carrying any dog of any size around with me when I spend a month in China or Japan or Australia or Europe. I don't even want to dick with having to find a hotel that accepts dogs for an astronomical fee when we are driving around the US and Canada for weeks (months) on end.

I love my dog and he's been an amazing addition to the family (3 years ago), but he does add a layer of complexity when we go places. That trip to Maine my family took last spring cost me $600 in dog-sitting fees. Another fricken plane ticket.

There are a few dog breeds that deserve their own * when talking about the species and Pugs are one of them. My friends have had them in the past and they are the most amazing breed under the right scenario. They are a hard-pass for me...

 

Just did my year-end calculations...down 13% for the year. Better than I expected, but it was supported by a minimal drop in my home value. Whew...

 

Not bad, could be worse.

 

Had a girlfriend that had one in high school. They are fun and funny dogs. We’ve still got ~10 years in our labs…we’ll see where we’re at in our lives when they pass

 

Our lab is almost 12 and the terrier mix is 4. Traveling isn't easy with the old girl.

 

There are dog people and there are cat people. But, when you go to Africa on safari everyone becomes a cat person. The beauty, grace, agility and speed of the cats are demonstrate the most marvelous animals ever.
Dogs are a lot more work than cats. However, dogs have masters and cats have servants.

 

Trouble with dogs is that they start out as puppies. Trouble with kittens is they turn into cats.

Yesterday's terrible sleep had me exhausted when I got home from work, so I fell asleep early and screwed up today's sleep schedule. Miserable sleep and woke with a minor migraine. One of you had better have slept like the dead!

I do in my Tundra and V6 Highlander. Only for just over a year now, 5k mi or 6 month changes. NOACK volatility is 13%, so in line with the OW-20 Valvoline full synthetic I always ran before on other vehicles. I'm going to try to keep an eye on that to limit coating the intake with oil evaporation through the PCV, but that's a long down the road observation.

Other than that it's slick, brown and ILSAC GF-5 like the manual states. I don't have reason to believe it won't do everything it needs to.
