This was one of my work projects for the last couple of days. It turned out kinda cool. '17 Outback, 2" suspension lift, Koenig rims wrapped in 245/65/17 BFG TA/KO's, Thule rack and Yakima load warrior basket.20170728_111407.jpg

I'm not much for crossovers but I'd drive it. It rode really nice and the 3.6R has some balls.

Our other ride (my wife's daily driver) is a 2014 Subaru Forester. We love it. The 32 MPG's also offset the other bigger family vehicle.

Did you get the lift kit from Australia? I wanted to do that to my wife's 2014, we ended up trading it in for a newer Highlander...I am a Subaru fan boy (owned 10 of them) but I am not waiting for their replacement for the TriBeCa anymore.

The lift is from L.P. Adventures from Canada. Nice folks to deal with.

Good to know, I will probably buy another Outback for my work car. I will most likely buy a stick ...not sure if the CVT tranny can handle the bigger tires. I never had a problem with the wife's...but it seems like asking for trouble. Especially with a lift and more rolling momentum.

I'd have to do some digging on that one. The kit I did on the Outback was from L.P. Adventures in Canada and all they do is Subaru but they don't show an Impreza application. They might be worth a call if you want to lift it. Not sure how much difference there is in the suspension setups. This was my first Subaru lift, usually we're doing stuff like this...
Third lift this week and I'm at a standstill 'cause the rims didn't show up today.20170728_173425.jpg

Wow, this forum just took 50 paces backwards by someone posting a pic of a Subaru. No matter what you do to it, no matter what you add to it, it is still a one fugly ass car.

HAHA. Getting told to Fuck Off over a post about a car is hilarious. I take it there is a sentimental attachment to the Lesbaru?

No...it's funny how people think...a Toyota is the only vehicle there is. Piss on a Jeep and see how people react. Fuck off may have been too harsh though.:)

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
I have to agree with that statement, my brother has an old beat up Subaru (1997 Subaru Impreza). A few times he wanted to bring me with him and his friends "off-roading" in it. LOL....

He broke the front and rear bumpers off, to be fair they were already broken, just duct taped on. However he climbed some stuff, I would have a difficult time climbing up by foot.

A concrete erosion pad coming down from the interstate must have been a 60 degree angle, he climbed that then parked it there and took a picture. I will have to see if he will send me the pic.

Thanks for posting your build. I love it!! Had a 86' brat for my first Subaru and have been hooked since. Kept me out of trouble on several occasions. Paid $3,100 with 30k miles in '92 & it would be worth that today.

Took 2 wagons up to Alaska, '86 & '89. Sold one in anchorage & the other went up the Dalton highway then back to Idaho. With independent suspension, they're the ultimate back road car.
This current '95 Subaru has saved the Tundra thousands of miles. Bought it in '07 with 80k for $3,300. Now it's almost at 170k, runs like a top-smooth, quite, gets 30mpg on its best day. In the winter it will outperform most trucks and cars in almost all conditions. Vehicles can be money spent or money saved. This one has paid itself and gives the truck a break come winter. 5bd0910cd9f8923310474900cc4a21b2_5b5879797feece71159ae13f644c2006d698a2e3.jpg
The tundra still ranks #1 with me, for now.

Totally badass. I'm thinking about becoming a lesbian so I can get one.

Just kidding. I had a 99 outback and absolutely loved it. Only got rid of it because I was using it more like a truck than a car. I've been in Toyota Trucks ever since. My wife is starting to think about replacing her 2010 highlander, and I'll show her this pic for sure.

Dammit, now I'm going to spend an hour looking up how to lift a Highlander. Thanks....

I never understood the Jeep way of thinking. Crawl real slow.

We are looking at foresters and outbacks for my wife, and the dealership has on set up like this. i've been pushing her towards it, but i think we will end up with the forester.
