2010 Tundra Headlight Lens Replacement

I have a 2010 Toyota Tundra Base 4 door. The headlight lens are quite dim and I need to replace them. I have the leveling ones but they do not work anymore. The aftermarket headlight lenses have non-leveling and leveling types. The leveling types are about double.

My question is will the non-leveling ones work on my Tundra? I dont care about the leveling system even if it worked.

Second question which ones would you recommend me to replace the OEM ones with. I have watched videos about cleaning polishing them but they always go back to the dingy state after a short time. So I want to replace them. I live in the country so I need better headlight performance than the ones I currently have.

 

I can't answer your 2nd gen specific question but I can tell you that a bumper mount light bar (wherever you've got room to put it) is worth every cent you can spend on it. I put one on my first gen setup to trigger off the high beams and it shines light far. Around $100.

 

Bought the AlphaRex Nova headlights two years ago. Literally night and day difference with the led lights! They were not adjustable at the time. So, I just taped up and secured the plugs. Plexus Cleaner is on Amazon. $30 for a can, not cheap. But, this stuff really works well. Use it every time after you wash your truck. Use the same stuff on airplane windshields to keep them from yellowing and clean.

The proper way to restore them is wet sanding and clearcoat. Aftermarket options depend on your budget and what you want to spend on them. Stay away from the cheap crap like Anzo and Spyder. Some of the Alpharexs have been known to leak. The OEM lights run $225 each for non-leveling and $300 for leveling.

 

I think I'm going to order a set of those Alpha Rex myself. Won't kill the wallet, and they look great IMO.
