I recently traded my 2017 Tacoma TRD OR MT for a 2022 Tundra TRD OR, both SR5s. I had put a lot of time and effort into my Tacoma, so it was a bitter sweet feeling. After a few weeks of owning the Tundra, I have no regrets. I am very excited to start modding the new rig and I would love to hear any opinions or ideas. Anything with a question mark is still in the air and looking for potential input. It is a utilitarian focus. I am looking to keep her light, but extremely capable, similar to my Tacoma Thanks!

    Current Modifications:
    • 3 Inch Toyota TRD lift
    • BFG KO2s 275 70 R18
    • Vision Manx 2 18x9.5 +12 Off Set
    • TRD Air Filter
    • Fast-Top Combo
    • Cover King Skanda Cordura Covers - Black M/C
    • Chrome Delete
    • Heritage Grille
    • Rave Maker Lights
    Future Modifications:
    • Sherpa overland Grizzly Rack
    • CBI Covert Bumper
    • CBI Sliders?
    • Badlands APEX 1200lb Winch
    • OV tune?
    • AFE Cat back exhaust?
    • AFE Cold Air?
    • Decked Bed Drawers? or Undercover Swing Case?

So far I have been very impressed with the TRD lift. It rides better than stock. I have owned Fox, Icon, and Radflo and the ride quality on road is as good or better then some of those. I understand that the tuned Bilsteins will not be as capable as a 2.5 or 3.0 shock with remote res, but the convenience, warranty, and parts included with the lift definitely sold me. I am more than happy so far.

After adding Vision Manx2 18 9.5 +12. Just enough poke for me...

TRD Air Filters went in. Definitely bringing a little more air into the turbo and improved the sound of it spooling. Slight uptick in MPG, getting one more mile per gallon on average. Could just be break in as well.

Fas-Top combo is fully installed and I finally gave the canopy a good test. Long road trip with the dogs in the back. Well below freezing outside and they stayed warm and had a blast. So far I am very impressed. Coming from a Softtopper on my Tacoma, I like the flexibility of this setup a lot.

Finished up chrome delete today. Thankfully the SR5 has very little to delete, because this one was not fun. To all of those that have said removing the grille is an easy task, I would disagree. All in all it took me about 3 hours. A lot of screws and clips, very touchy job. I will take working on suspension, exhaust, or intakes anyday. Very happy with the finish product though. Finished up pretty late so I'll get some better shots at a later date. Rave Off-Road lights were very easy to install. Fit extremely well and worked without issue.

Hey! Truck looks awesome. How long did the grille and surround change take you?

    thanks!

Took me about 3.5 hours to do grille and the surround. If it was just the surround, probably 2 or less. The grille was the real PITA.

New member of the AG club. Just got the lift on yesterday. Before and after pics.

I've ordered the parts to dechrome but Sparks told me they will be 8-10 weeks. Had originally planned to go with the RRW RR6-H wheels in matt bronze but they are backordered until Dec. Always liked Method wheels as well, so went with those.
