    Greetings!

First post here. I've got an 08 SR5 that I've had since 2010. She's my baby and she's taken great care of me and my kids over the years. Problem is... lately I've neglected her. I've been seeing a younger foreign model that's way cheaper to take out. When I say neglect... I mean she's been sitting for over a year.

She caught my eye the other day, looking awfully sad. I could see the desire in her eyes to get back together and on the road. So the process has started. I figured step one is obviously the battery, so I put a new one in. I didn't bother starting yet though because I'm afraid that the fuel is probably absolute crap. I'm thinking I should siphon out what's in there and replace. Any thoughts on the next steps? Straight to a garage to get the seals and oil replaced?

    Welcome from OKC!
You can disconnect the fuel rail and use the fuel pump to drain the tank down. Pour in some good gas, drain a bit more to be sure you have good gas.
