TRD front sway bar installation

    I am about to install the trd front sway bar on my 2016 tundra. From my understanding the trd sway bar is beefier compared to the hollow bar. Can I still use my existing hardware or do I need to get new hardware to fit the trd sway bar

    TRD Sway Bars, TRD CAI, Bilstein 5100's, LED's, plus LED rear Plate backup light, Aluminum oil filter housing, ECGS Needle Bearing upgrade.
    You should be fine. I don't think it's beefier necessarily but it is not hollow like the OEM sway bar the TRD is solid. I used all the old bushings and same bolts, but I have a 2008 so your mileage may vary. It's a really simple install and if you find that you don't have the correct parts, then you can just put the old one back in until you get the right hardware. Honestly, I think you will be fine.

    Too many, but not enough....
    I'm not sure it's completely solid. I think the walls are thicker though. In any case, you are good to go reusing stock hardware.

    Ah, well I could definitely be mistaken on that. Didn't mean to put out wrong info. Either way, it's a definite improvement!!

    I’d make sure you’re on a flat surface with your wheels straight as the bar/connectors can bind and make install hard. But original bolts etc. should be all good to go and sub 30 min install. I personally just started removing all tundra front sway bars as they impede articulation offroad/potholes/etc.

    True but if it was solid it would be like 300% stiffer, I think the trd one is something like 40%?
