Want to get a wireless Apple Car Play adapter for my 2020 Tundra CrewMax. So many to choose from, looking for one that works best for our Tundras. Any real life feed back or recommendations on which one to get would greatly be appreciated! Yes I have searched the forum but looking for an updated info, Thanks!

I use the Superior Tek 3.0 on Amazon. The Carlinkit 2.0 was laggy and had issues, not sure if they fixed these issues in 3.0.

Are these secure? I thought they exposed your data via wifi.

Second this, love mine. Connects within 15 seconds, always a good connection.

Its a valid question. Looks like it is using (abusing) Apple's Carplay protocol. On it's face it should follow one of the WPA encryption but doesn't eliminate having packets siphoned back the motherland. Would be interesting to test in a Cyberlab.

Linkit 3.0 wireless CarPlay, Husky Xcut, Tundra metal letter on trunk, upcoming .... Smartcap EVO shell, Rail system, bed cover, ceramic tint including windshield, tinted headlights and tail lights, full time gps alarm system with dash camera front and rear, bull nose for front, debating rear bumper, waiting on long gun locker for under rear seat with seat rail mods to sit flush and not raise back seat, Pedal Commander ordered as well as fender flares and tinted film for front logo and led conversion lights for all interior lights
I bought the car link about a year ago just after I got my 21 Crewmax, about maybe 1 time out of every 30 times driving it won't sync and I just unplug from the usb port and let it sit 10 seconds and plug back in and its back to normal. The only thing i've noticed if my maps isn't open on my iphone it won't auto load on the apple car play and randomly after my last service the volume on apple music stops working, sort of a weird issue.

I got this awhile back. So far works really good. They are always running a flash sale or discount on them so don’t pay full price. I also bought a usb with a 90° plug and made a notch so I could hide it under the shift cover out of sight.

I have one and it is solid. Also works in our Highlander. If it starts acting funny, sometimes you have to update it through you phone. Only takes a few minutes.

I’ve haven’t updated mine yet. Guess I need to check to see if there are any to do.

How do you like it? I have the Carlinkit 3.0 and have issues where sometimes the volume doesn't work and have to reboot. I will say the one in my Tacoma works flawlessly with the aftermarket Pioneer head unit.

I like it better than the Carlinkit 2.0, can't compare to Carlinkit 3.0. It is not without issues but bootup time and connection is much quicker and I don't have the frequency of issues I had with the other device. I had volume issues, crashing, screen glitches, screen freeze with the Carlinkit. With this device it happens less often and when it does I just restart the head unit.

I just bought a CLK 4.0 and it doesn't even work with my truck.

I’ve had a few annoying issues with my CarlinkIt. Half the time my volume is not adjustable, and I don’t like how the audio is delayed. Thinking about going away from carlinkit

Want wireless for new2us tundra and our suv, but can't find decent units that serve both iPhone for wife and Android for me. So would want 4 - one of each for both vehicles. I'm too cheap for that, will just continue plugin. Wife says I should convert to iPhone.
