While pulled off on a side road to let the old Yellow Lab out for a pee stop a LEO from the Loxley PD stopped to see if we were broke down. He said as soon as he saw it was a Tundra he knew we weren't broke down but then wanted to make sure we were OK.

Sir, if you are a member here I thank you for your concern and enjoyed sharing Tundra stories. The Officer owns a 2018....With the transmission cooler.

Kudos for calling out the GOOD LEO's, who number in the vast majority but never get the credit they deserve!

You are exactly right. If it wasn't for the speeding tickets every one of my encounters with LEO have been positive. Really can't blame the tickets on the officer, that's a given. They really do have a difficult job. Dealing with the bottom dwellers of society much of the time and stresses that go with the inherent dangers.
I took just a few moments today and sent an email to the Mayor of Loxley expressing my appreciation of the encounter. I hope he passes the word. There was no contact information available for the Chief of Police or I would have sent one to him too.

I might just write a letter and send it. My first initials of my name are DR and my handwriting looks the part. My wife, a retired nurse writes like an elementary school teacher showing kids an example of cursive writing. I'll have her write it.
