oh yeah...slap some quick fists on there, hook up an axe, shovel, fire extinguisher, max trax, recovery gear, etc

hooked up on the rail system if I remember correctly. I'm probably going to get a buddy of mine fab one up for me and modify it to use the bed post holes (whatever you call them) so I can use a tonneau cover also. That's the plan for now, it may change at one point or another....who knows with these things?? LOL

Got my topper in and installed today. My back window opens perfectly without swinging out the spare.

I started one and said after a couple of mods that that was all that I was going to do to the truck. I obviously lied.

I went down to see my buddy at his welding shop this afternoon. Hear is the beef up for the hinge side of the tire carrier. I mocked this up out of card board and he made it out of 3/8" plate. I can stand on the end of tire carrier like it was nothing. Should carry the weight pretty well.

The thing makes absolutely no noise going down the road what so ever. No rattles, nothing. Smooth as glass.

What are you running yours at? What brand are you running? I don't see any pics or can find any info anywhere on your truck?????

I have run big tall tires on all of my trucks for the last 30 years. Always ran them at high air pressure and have never had any weird wear.

Rotated and balanced every 10k and have always run BFG's and now the Nittos. Third truck with these Nittos now and all good at 65 psi

My build page is 3rd Gen.. Snow White.. I think It's on my signature below all my post

I'm Running Atturo MT, 37' 22 wheel. Mines at like 32psi but I think it's kinda low, that's why I'm asking , was thinking to put 35-40 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thats a Smittybilt swing out tire carrier for a Jeep and home made mounting brackets. The ladder is Traxion ladder off Amazon. I wound up taking if off and going with an AMP step instead.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to see if the OP has any updates on this tire carrier approach. I have a FourWheelCamper in the back of my truck so this would be a great way for me to carrier a spare tire.

With my camper in the back I needed to remove the tailgate so it fits.
