Looking at buying a used set of retro headlights.

Looks like the seller did the work themselves, they state all parts bought the TRS.

Anything specific I should look into?

Obviously I should hook them up and verify lights work lol

    Thanks guys

See what if anything was damaged when they were opened up. Check for horizontal alignment on the cutoffs. Make sure all mounting tabs are intact.

Which projectors did they use? TRS sells many, which vary n price/quality.

This is the cutoff (not really projected or displayed in a great fashion)

    Morimoto FX-R 3.0

Based of a quick search, they are part of the less expensive sets

The thing about going new...is a have a broken tab on my pass side.

If I was to go new, I would want like new parts to be used. That increases the cost unfortunately.

This used set might be a happy medium; projectors and all tabs intact.

I have the mini D2S 2.0 and I think they are great. I would expect the FX-R 3.0's to be pretty awesome, but at least you know the cost of them.

Also if there are Halos or other lights in there, just make sure everything is secure and overall looks clean. Another thing I would consider is if they are OEM headlights or aftermarket like TYC. I would ASSUME the OEM lens are of better quality, but I have no personal experience with that, just assuming.

X2, I agree with Moto, I have the D2S 2.0 and are very pleased with output. The 3.0 is a step up.

On a side note, I had great success plastic welding our headlight tabs. I made the plastic part really think and melted wire mesh in them for added strength.

I wanted Pro lights, these retros have black housings. Just confirmed they are OEM.

In good conditions, knowing the build HW -opinions on decent pricing pending everything works and lenses are clear?

That's the main thing, is the lenses are clear and in good shape. I tried to restore my factory headlights, but just to many scratches. Let's see some pics when you can
