I finally made it to my first concert at 32 years old. The other half and I went to see Zac brown and I have to say I had a blast. Why didn’t I do it sooner. What concerts do you guys recommend seeing? I would like to go to a lot more.

I live in the middle of nowhere. So the closest place is like 1 1/2 hours. Also no one really drew my interest enough till this one

I went to my first concert this year at the age of 35. I waited so long for similar reasons, nothing really interested me.

But if Rammstein is playing within a few hundred miles, everyone should go. Even if you don’t care for the music, it’s a hell of a pyro & light show and they don’t visit the US often. Despite the high energy music the crowd was super chill where I was. I guess everyone has their phones out and is afraid of dropping them these days, lol.

I saw them once when I was 15. They played with System of a Down and Slipknot. I think it was the pledge of allegiance tour?

Damn, that was over 20 years ago

If you really wanna get your concert juices flowing, hit up a music festival like Ozzfest.

You may not like the music but Iron Maiden puts on a really really good show. Lights, backdrops, costumes, pyrotechnics, giant mechanical creatures walking on the stage...

Musically, they're really good as well (I took a friend who wasn't into metal and she was impressed with their talent) but I get that metal isn't everyone's cup of tea.

To be honest, almost any genre music is far better enjoyment, entertainment and memorable LIVE. Some of the best are those gigs you can just walk down a street and hear/see thru doors/windows and decide which to walk in on for a drink & listen, good times. My last show were the B-52s at UT-Austin's Bass Concert Hall, amazing acoustics in a smallish venue, they've retired now so I'm glad I got to go one last time to see them with my kids and wife.

I've done plenty including Ozzfest and ACL (Austin City Limits) but one of my all time favorites was Type O Negative in Corpus Christi TX of all places.

Peter Steele looked every bit 7ft tall and they sounded amazing live. I caught his sweat towel and had to fend off someone else who had caught a piece of it. She was pretty hot so I split it with her.

Awesome @ryderboy , glad you had a blast! Keep on going, they’re fun!

I like to think I’ve been to my fair share of concerts but I’m still fairly young (I think?) so haven’t seen a ton. First concert was Allman Bros. in 6th grade :rasta: . Have seen Jimmy Buffett 8 times and Offspring 10+ (wife’s favorite band). I’d say one of my favorites was Trampled by Turtles up in Lake Tahoe (no friggin idea how those guys move their fingers so fast). Ludacris came to my university and it was only maybe 200 ppl in the venue so that was cool. Saw chainsmokers long before they became popular, but I think the summer of 2013 takes the cake. Lived down the street from this place called Ocean Club in Marina Bay, Quincy MA and went to a few concerts. Was in my mid-twenties and EDM music was in its prime. I believe I saw:
    Afrojack
    Krewella
    Steve Aoki
    Armin Van Buren
    Hardwell
    Eric Prydz
    and Fedde La Grand.

    Was a pretty good summer.

Not sure if I can remember them all but I've seen:

Megadeth with Machine Head and I can't remember who else
    AC/DC
    John Fogerty
