Trust me I can draw my weapon from my side and get a round off faster than you can from that holster BUT thats from years of training to do it that way. Im sure I could train myself to do it faster from the way your holster is too

Is the double sided tape still holding strong? I tried velcro too and in time the velcro kept undoing.

Hey all. New to the forum and was checking out some of the older posts. Great ideas... Was curious if anyone had tried the magnet holders?Gun Magnet.jpg

I wonder if double sided tape would work for the maglite clips as well.

I'm still trying to figure out a holster situation myself, Andrews makes a holster called the "Carjacker," and I had one for a while but the weight of the gun causes the seatbelt to sag and you spend half the time tugging on it. Usually IWB 04:30, or a high ride Leather Safariland Paddle.

I just joined the forum. Saw this thread. Perfectly legal in Texas with or without an LTC. After 9-1-2021 it can also be visible, prior to that it MUST be concealed. Even with an LTC. I'm the President of Texas Handgun Association. I have an online LTC class that is super easy for the classroom part, you still need to go to the range to do range qualification. Range must be done in the state of Texas. https://onlinetexasltc.com/CFIT

Here is my solution. Removed the trim around the shifter to install some AJT pieces. While off I put a magnet at knee level with 3m. On the interior I applied another magnet. Boom, rock solid mount, no drilling.

I have never had box store double sided tape ever work. Always comes off...I use a 3M product VHB (very high bond). incredible. I buy the 2" roll on Amazon.
What I do...ymmv of course. Clean both surfaces with 4-0 steel wool with alcohol. Cut the tape to correct size. One side has a plastic film protector. Do not touch the sticky side.
It is Pressure Activated. Put in place on one surface pressing HARD on the plastic film. Then peel the film off...press your stick on piece with appropriate hard pressure.
I use this in our RV coach for everything, including cutting small pieces to stick up LED light strips. I'm told auto manufacturers use this 3M VHB for trim pieces, badges and chrome trim.
It is VERY difficult to remove if installed properly. think there is video on Youtube if interested. GL Thomas

OMG. I just told my wife about joining here within the last hour...good info and seemed like very nice polite conversations...Then the start of insulting all of Tn, me included as Rednecks, militia school etc...That is just ignorant and unnecessary. This is sad on my first day here to put up with such ignorant bullsh**. I am proud to be a Real Estate Investment Broker/Owner...neither I nor any of my friends here are rednecks. I may have to consider leaving this group if this continues and this is the caliber/mentality and intelligence level of members. That crap is not necessary.

Just ignore the idiots, that’s what the rest of us do. Hopefully the moderators will either warn the poster or take the post down and ban them going forward. There some smart ass comments here and there, but they aren’t to offend anybody. I’m hoping you’re not the type that gets offended by everything.

Easy with that potty mouth of yours, you might offend someone..

If you are that easily offended, this forum may not be for you.
This isn't the place for political correctness and wokeness.
Although we try to keep things fairly clean and pretty.

I've lived in Texas my entire life.
    You know, steers and queers..
That stuff just doesn't bother me, or most us on the forum.

    We have fun around here.
A little ribbing of each other happens amongst friends.
There is a plethora of great information in these threads written by some very helpful and smart members.

Welcome to the forum, from Dallas TEXAS...
Tell your wife I said 'Howdy'..

    To the topic at hand;
I used Chicago screws to mount magnets in my Lockrdown vault.
    It dropped right in.
Bought a console organizer and trimmed it down to fit in the vault..

Wait a minute. Did you change your name from cmiller to Thom? Seems you might not be the victim you are claiming to be. Totally cool to be corrected if I'm wrong about the name change.

A lot of great ideas here for handguns. Has anyone done anything interesting with truck rifles, PDWs, PCCs storage?
    Rear seat lockers?

Easiest way to do that is by using an EDC magnet (gun magnet) and just attach the light to the magnet. If you go this route, I'd find one that screws into whatever you're putting the magnet on and not use the tape on kind (they just don't seem to hold up well)...
